Yes, I love the vaseline aloe vera gel. I tend to get sunburnt if I just think about leaving the house between March and October so am always on the lookout for soothing creams!0 -

Hmmm - I wondered if you'd done something to your elbow at the same time that you managed to crack your ribs? xxxEx board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).0 -

I am severely photophobia (which has nothing to do with photos or phobia - it's severe light sensitivity) and going out is hell.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I have to wear sun glasses most of the time, ( all year) but I don't find it hellish luckily. Sometimes I find it too bright to be out, so I shuffle back in, but this is often the hours its better to be out of direct sun.
I had a great experience buying sun block at the weekend, no 7 are doing a facial factor fifty bb cream and the fair shade is indeed fair and my sensitive skin is tolerating it. Its much easier than the previous factor fifty I had that went horrid and white and was hard to put make up on over.
We have people visiting here who get burnt easily and I have a factor fifty body sunblock around through summer, I am amazed how few people use sun block when they know they burn, just swapping it for a body moisturise using it as an opportunity to check yourself for injury or lumps each day and a little self care. Once a day is not meant to be sufficient I think, but better than nothing.0 -
LIR - it always amazes me too, some people are very complacent about it (despite knowing they burn!) I'm always covered in sunblock but it still gets through lol. Really struggle to find any make-up that doesn't look orange on me... am beyond pale.
dragonette - I love colouring in. It's very therapeutic. I also do little circle shapes. I draw a big wibbly shape, then fill it in with small circles. It has to be on lined paper and has to be done in a certain way. Have always done this (can remember doing it long before starting school). My sister finds it v funny how precise it is!0 -
I wish I could get pics to show up here, never works for me no matter how many nice ppl explain it to me.

Totally agree about the sunblock, i need to use sunblock regularly too. When I worked outside, it was daily as i had sun cream that lasted 6-8 hours:AStarting again on my own this time!! - Defective flylady! :A0 -
What a lovely colouring book, dragonette! I have some beautiful ones that were sent to me by someone lovely here and I colour for hours.
I have to use sunblock, I am so pale I'm see-through and I burn after 15 minutes.
That's really interesting, SDW. I hadn't thought of carpal tunnel. I have now emailed all of my new symptoms to my GP and he can decide what we do next.
A day earlier than planned I am back on the pain medication. The withdrawals or possibly the lack of the tranquillising aspects of the medication were starting to affect my mental health. I woke up today longing to be in a prison cell. When I was very ill I used to walk into police stations and beg them to lock me up, I wanted to be in a small space with no access to the outside. It felt safe to me. They never did, they just made me tea and put me on the phone to the hospital or drove me there if I was very ill. Once a very nice police officer drove me around for 20 minutes before we got there because I told him that sitting in a police car with no ability to unlock the doors made me feel safe. He spent the time chatting to me and telling me how I must hang onto life, I have never forgotten how kind he was. Police cars are exceptionally clean inside, incidentally. They also smell nice. I digress...
This was a good idea for working out which bits of me hurt but I won't allow myself to go into relapse as a result of it so it seemed a good time to go back on them. I feel a little better already.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

*sneaks in at the back* ...could I have a hug please? It's been a bad few days with the depression and it seems to have just hit me all at once in the last few minutes.
Sorry to be a pain

Aw, you aren't a pain, HBS! Have a big hug, a teddy, a warm blanket and cup of hot chocolate. I am so sorry you are feeling down, we are all here for you.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France
