Thanks for the updates WaS. :) Yes, no doubt the swelling is due to the lack of movement, hopefully it'll go down soon. Hand on in there, Tuesday isn't that far away. :)

Glad Milliefleur is out of hospital and on the mend. :) BIL needs too earn when to be quiet though

Just dyed my hair, hopefully it'll come out ok! Managed not to dye the whole bathroom due to DH cling filming the sink and toilet! :D

WaS, can you lie for a while (not overnight) with your legs propped up on a pillow? And rub some lovely fragranced moisturiser into your skin so that the leg skin doesn't actually hurt (so much). And do do some exercises with your feet - swivel them round in circles to encourage the circulation.

Delighted to hear about Milliefleur! Give her a special hug (over the phone when you next brave this) from me! xxxxxx

Thank you for kind comments everybody.

I thought DH had handled it really well. He was mostly angry that the environment I was brought up in led to my mh problems. He was upset that there isn't a single element of my life that has been unaffected. He is sad that just a simple thing of going to a weekly class is not straightforward.

And then he managed to bump into someone's car. So that is our no claims bonus gone. He was so stressed, poor darling, after it had happened. So all of that is being sorted now. It wasn't anything serious and no one was hurt but the other bloke was livid. So i hope it will get worked out sensibly.

I got given some beautiful flowers today from a grateful person. That was an unexpected boost, and I also had a lovely 'thank you' from a customer. Little things really do make a difference.

That Isreali martial art is Krav Maga, code? I love watching that on Youtube. It really appeals to me. I've got a very long way to go though.

WaS, I saw an article in the Times about this book:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Forgotten-Girl-powerful-amnesia-secrets/dp/1447282728

According to the article, this woman has a house in her mind where she can go and be safe. It looks like an interesting read. I haven't seen the book itself though. I did wonder if it were a genuine story. I don't know why I didn't completely believe it though from the article. Usually I believe everything. (When I saw, unsure whether to believe it, I only mean that it struck me that elements could have been pulled from research - I think the symptoms are all believable - just not sure if it all happened to her. Hope she is not a now-very-offended member of Team WaS!)

    Sunrise in Spain this morning.

Am going down with a cold and don't feel too brill. :(
At least my conference stuff is more or less done. Today and tomorrow was supposed to be me time.

Doubt I'll feel up to gallivanting, so if I don't get worse, I might treat myself to a couple of spa treatments.

What a beautiful sunset! :) Such a shame you're not feeling 100% :( Enjoy your spa treatments though if you decide to go for them!

Afm, today's will be spent getting stuff ready for London tomorrow, which means doing ironing.....I hate blooming ironing! Also just a general tidy round. The house is (nearly!) always tidy anyhow, but the MIL is coming over to look after the cat, and well, what can I say? She's like Kim and Aggie on crack! If there's something's to find, she'll no doubt find it!

Hi all. Feeling very blue and fed up at the moment. Getting some work done on the house so need to clean up a bit but DH is doing his dying swan impression (manflu) and I feel less motivated than a non motivated thing.

So, I'm making a card for my friend's birthday.

  • Good evening all! Hugs for all of those feeling down today.

Melly, I am totally in love with Mr Cat!

I am doing better, most of the withdrawal is over now. The pain is very bad but that's what I did this to discover after all. I wake up like a 90 year old and need help to get out of bed. But I have discovered I have rib pain, bad neuralgia and a strange pain running down my left arm from my elbow which makes my outer 3 fingers numb as well as the pain I was being treated for. I will email my GP tomorrow with the results and then leave it up to him if we look further into it or just go back to the pain medication.

All in all, it hasn't done me any harm other than a few days of suffering and we know more now than we did so it has been a good thing. I can't wait to start pain medication again, though. I literally cannot function without it.

On the bright side the work finishes in these buildings in the next few weeks. Then at the end of April the insurance people will be visiting all the flats again to see if the work was adequately carried out so that they can grant the insurance certificate that all of this was working towards. After that it should all be over.
