Does your local bus company not do longer trips away too? Ours always advertises in the local paper.

Belfast does look really nice too. £33 is a good price. :)

Its not a local bus company, the pick up point is Glasgow but thats not a million miles away, just that it doesnt get back to Glasgow in time to connect with the last service bus home which makes it harder.

There are companies that do longer trips and pick up and drop off nearer my home, just that their website really isnt user friendly, dont know why, used to be.

I was also considering a mini cruise to amsterdam, have also been there before a few times, I have serious wanderlust just now so need to do something.

I've been watching a fascinating prog on BBC2 about moving penguins and moving bees.

Because bee numbers have reduced so much in the UK, this chap goes out to Italy and buys loads of Italian bees and trucks them back to Britain. Very interesting.

Probably not, but if we were doing it that way we would be as well getting the train to stranraer and getting the ferry over ourselves, will look at all the options.

That does sound interesting Pyxis :) I like to use natural Skincare if possible and have just discovered a company that does lipbalm, scrubs, balms, candles etc made from honey and beeswax....I'm hooked already!

I've been using a lovely skin cream (for my hands) containing active Manuka (18+) and propolis. It's 'Skin Health' by Madeleine Ritchie and is from New Zealand.

My hands and nails get very dry and I use this at night.

Looks good stuff! Pricey, but if it works, then it's worth it!

My Dad always used to talk about Manuka honey and how it was good for you. I bought him some Paw Paw balm for dry patches on his face and he loved it! His Grandad was a chemist and was interested in apothecary, hence my Dad was and now I am.

The company I mentioned are called My Tiny Bees. I just love the name! :rotfl:

I got a great story idea in a dream, but I have writers block and can't get it on paper (or screen) properly. It's coming over all Mills and Boon and it's not meant to be.
