If I was you, I would introduce a cancellation policy.
Re the days out, you can get some good deals on trains to the Metro Centre.
I think even if Im not going to charge folks for bailing out (a couple of people I PT do my fitness classes and they are very good to me, they give me lifts as I dont drive) and I understand that some people work shifts and that people want a life and to get away sometimes for the weekend Im going to have to say to people, if you cant make it, I need 24 hours notice or the session is off, because the humming and hawing and the maybe and maybe not is not only driving me round the bend but its just taking up too much time that I could use doing other things.
Ive been to newcastle several times, its only 2 hours on the train from the next town to me. I used to live in newcastle, but I was too young to remember it, we came back up to Scotland as my mum had a place at uni to study teacher training.
I just want something to look forward to, even if its just faffing about on my tod in newcastle or london.
I also looked at dublin, I can get there for 9.99 but holy macaroni the prices of the hotels almost made me cry.0 -

When I was losing weight over the last couple of years, I hit a 6 months plateau, I was busting my !!! in classes, eating clean and nothing moved. Where as some people who were doing the same fitness classes as me and eating clean, lost 13 pounds in an 8 week bootcamp.
If you like HIIT (well, no one in their right mind likes HIIT really)Id be happy to give you a list of bodyweight exercises you could do to do a HIIT workout in the house and if you have spotify, there are loads of workout tabata mixes that give you the work rest timings. I buy them for my classes (because sadly you arent allowed to use spotify outside your own home).
It's not so much that I'm worried about the scales purpleshoes. The problem is that I'm obese and on pills that pile weight on me. Nothing I do shifts the weight and it's frustrating. My clothes just get tighter and tighter and my self confidence gets lower and lower, as does my sex drive, which damages my marriage. Then I go to see the doctor about other issues and they tell me to lose weight. When i ask how, they offer me free gym membership then shrug when I say that I already go to the gym. They act like they don't believe me.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

How about Krakow? It's cheap to fly to, hotels are good value and it's cheap to live once you are there.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Would it be possible to see a personal trainer who has a GP referral qualification even if you only see them for a session a month?
I dont have that qualification yet although its in my plans, my brother has and it means hes qualified to work with people who have certain health conditions (btw Im not assuming that you have, just saying that if you did meet up with a good PT who really knows his stuff, it might help, because they could tailor a programme of exercise around your health needs rather than it just been generic).
Even if you find a gym instructor in the gym with that qualification, maybe save you paying out for PT.
My bro works in a local council gym and he PTs away from that, hes excellent and so are some of his workmates, but like every industry the knowledge is hit and miss, its just finding the instructor thats right for you and its also really important that you find someone who can do a programme suited to your needs.
I don't like my GP's, Ive never had good service from them, they really don't care about their patients, that may sound harsh, but during the worst times in my life when I needed support from them I got nil, Im stuck with them though because I cant find anyone else to take me on. My mum goes to the same health centre but a different practice, but her GP's are excellent. I suffered from work related stress for over a decade and my mum has had experience of that as well, longer than me, the difference in the understanding and the treatment we got was like night and day.
Im sorry you get treated like that, its truly awful. I only go to my GP if I am really really unwell, because its pointless otherwise.0 -

Totally! Apart from I won't even have done burpees lol.
I've always hated new year for this reason...just reminds me that another year has passed and I've done nothing with my life again. That's why this year I'm so determined to make changes. I just cannot face the thought of another year going by and being stuck in the same old rut.0 -

Have you looked on wowcher or groupon? They have some brilliant deals.
Before we booked for London, we looked at this offer http://www.wowcher.co.uk/travel-deals/london/deal-318414-detail/69pp-instead-138-82pp-crystal-travel-2-night/deal.html?searchresult=true There's also one for £20 more where you get a tour of the Guinness factory.0 -

That looks great, but its based on 2 sharing and Id be going on my own. Otherwise Id have booked it. I have animals and my mum feeds them when Im away and vice versa so we don't often go away together. My brother would do it, feed both lots, but hes really busy workwise these days so doesn't have as much free time as he used to.
But I will book something soon. I went to Galway once and absolutely loved it0 -
Aww that's a shame. They always seem to penalise single travellers.
My Aunty and uncle are on a cruise right now with some friends of theirs. The single lady with them is paying almost as much!

I do more than I used to, but Im still not doing enough. I dont really bother with new year, at all. I have a small family, my bro does his thing with his gf, I just go to my mums for a few days.
I tend to stay in from the beginning of December until the end of January, Ive done all the standing in pubs like a sardine that I want to around that time.
I think for myself personally, Ive either been long term single or been in really not productive relationships so sometimes its easy to get in a rut, because I dont have a network of folk to call on, I do go out and I do see people, but even getting my bottom on a plane and getting to Spain, booking my own hotel and transfers was a big thing for me, not because I cant go away on my own.
But as people could see from the story I posted earlier on the thread, some folks have a really negative reaction when you say you are going on holiday on your tod, there are always a few folk who look at you and go, in your 40s, sad, live on your own, sad, have cats, double sad.
Whereas I dont think Im sad at all, my life is just my life and I get on with it, but if I dont do enough stuff with my free time, its entirely my own fault.
I am a bit of a hermit by nature and its always a battle for me, just not reverting to hermit mode every single day.0
