Great strategy, WaS. And grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to BIL :(

Yep, I've done the pet food in the eye thing as well, in the past. And far worse. (Anyone else had to squeeze out those anal gland things on cats?)

Oooo tea, well done on addressing scary list. Yep, do it - you will feel SO MUCH better!

PS The REALLY good thing, of course (after MIL not being too ill, by the sound of things) is that she hasn't been on her own for 2 days wondering why no-one is visiting!

Good luck on the scary thing, tea! You can do it!

BIL is still insisting that she has been in hospital for 2 days. He may have the timeline totally wrong or she hasn't been able to get to the phone for 2 days perhaps, and then pressed the panic button and he mistook her neighbour calling him to say she was just admitted as meaning two days ago? Who can tell with BIL. We thought she was staying in Yorkshire all week so have no idea what has been going on and we presume her carers will have thought the same as us so not visited.

WaSp and I have agreed that if I handle the hospital calls he will handle the constant speaking to BIL, he has rang 5 times in the last 90 minutes. As scary as I find phone calls I definitely have the better deal.

Glad you're slowly managing to get to the bottom of things WaS. :) That BIL sounds a nasty character. :(

I phoned! I applied for a job the other day, and they emailed me back to say they didn't think I was suitable for that role but they had something else I could look at. Had to call them and ask about it. To be honest - I don't think I particularly want either position lol.

Have got to find something soon though... can feel my will to live slipping away the more time I spend here. Was really hoping I could find something else before v annoying colleague comes back from extended sick-leave - that plan was put on back-burner due to sorting mortgage. The thought of still being here when she comes back with her constant farting makes me want to cry.... a lot.

WELL DONE TEA! :T (Perhaps the farting will improve when she's back? After all, she has been on sick leave :p)

And congratulations, WaS, sounds as if you are handing doing the phone calls brilliantly! :A

  • Well done tea! You did it! Look on it this way, employers are interested in you! This has to be a good thing.

BIL is complicated Georgie, very very complicated. Basically very drunk most of the time and therefore angry and incredibly inept to say the least. I would like to say that incidences like today are rare but they tend to happen all too frequently.
