My smoke alarm started beeping at me. So I looked out the batteries, found the step ladder, dragged it downstairs, moved the shoes out of the way, climbed the step ladder, unscrewed the cover on the alarm, realised I needed a screwdriver to get to the battery, climbed back down, went to find a screwdriver, climbed back up, changed the battery, climbed back down....

...and the one upstairs beeped again. Yup. I changed the battery in the wrong smoke alarm.

I used to blame stress. Then my age. Now I reckon it's just me.
What about you, MU - health or meds related, or just one of those things?
Mornings, its mainly drowsiness from meds that seems to give me a foggy head..other than that i'm not sure. I just know before the breakdown and my health getting really bad my memory was fairly good. It doesn't take much to confuse me. Also when i'm depressed and when i'm hypermanic i have trouble concentrating and remembering things (for example despite putting a huge reminder note on my door telling me to pack my uniform i have on multiple occasions walked straight past it and only reaslied halfway to work i've forgotten it. Now i try and pack my bag the night before so i dont forget)

Is anybody else terrible for telling someone the same thing multiple times? Lol found it with Swain recently i'll be telling him various stories and anecdotes and bless him he listens....then points out i've already told him this at least twice already :o its a pain getting to know someone when you can't remember what you've already told them! :rotfl:

I bet in a few months time the novelty of a peaceful, clean, tidy house will totally have worn off.

My memory is seriously terrible, to the point it does actuall genuinely worry me sometimes :o

For example, I struggle to remember exactly what I did yesterday and I can't remember what I did a lot of last week.

This can be a bit of a disaster at work. Generally speaking they know not to put me on the bake off cooking the pasties (I once burnt 3 pizzas in a row, my manager just said to me...enough..lets just say we've sold out! :o ). On the rare occasions I have to do it I am forever forgetting things especially when I'm trying to serve on the till or do other jobs too. This translates to my cooking at home. To the point I very rarely cook at home now. I tend to just eat at Swain's or from the food court at work :o its a bit more expensive than cooking for myself but then this is the person who managed to burn pasta on several occasions  and once actually set the oven on fire....I remeber running to my ex saying how the kitchen was slightly on fire :o
Does your oven have a timer? I always have to set mine. I use it to remind myself of other things, not just cooking. Failing the oven timer, or if I think I won't hear it. I also use the one on my phone. Could you use your phone timer at work?

    That's soooooooo true.

And that's why it's important to write down exactly how you've been feeling living with FOH. Though the house will be peaceful, there may be the odd time when you might feel a bit lonely, so if you were then to read what you used to feel, it will make things a whole lot better! :)

Circuit training done before work. Go me. Dumbass dog wasn't amused though - it totally messed up his morning cuddle.

I can see how that might happen.

  • Good morning all. We have had 90 minutes sleep and we are exhausted. We were woken by a phone call from BIL saying he had lost Milliefleur two days ago. Yes you heard that right.

She apparently came home from Yorkshire Monday evening and then a neighbour told him that she pressed her panic button Monday night and an ambulance arrived to take her to hospital. Since then he has been unable to find which hospital she is in and has been told by the local hospital not to call back because as he put it "I pointed my nuclear missiles at him and let them have it". He decided to call us for help this morning.
