I want to say nice comforting things to those who have lost someone and/or are in pain but everything comes out so trite or platitudinous. You are in my thoughts.
I got nothin today. Feeling tired, sore and bleeding from bad blisters on both my heels (thanks new converse!). I haven't exercised and I'm ravenously hungry. Every now and again, I feel disconnected from the world where everything feels like its happening at a distance and nothing feels quite real. Today is one of those daysEu não sou uma tartaruga. Glad your meeting went well HBS, sounds like a really good outcome!
Well done on doing the Scary Thing Tea! Do you have a count down until FOH leaves?
Big hugs Georgie, it must all feel so raw still but do try to enjoy the places you used to go with your Dad as I'm sure he'd want you to enjoy the memories you had rather than avoid them because they hurt. Some more ((hugs))
Thanks Birdie x I hope so in time.codemonkey wrote: »I want to say nice comforting things to those who have lost someone and/or are in pain but everything comes out so trite or platitudinous. You are in my thoughts.
Thanks code x I know exactly what you mean, I'm the same. I did have to google platitudinous though, I didn't have a clue what it meant! :rotfl:

I can empathise on both counts today. The sore heels, calves, thighs etc, and the feeling somewhat disconnected too. ((Hugs)) to you too x
Infact, ((hugs)) all round to those who need them or not x x0 -

Would it be unreasonable to ask workmen to turn their radio down? They are replacing the hall carpets and have a radio blaring loudly. It is a combination of music and dj which is exactly what I hear when I hallucinate and it triggers me to feel very unreal. They probably don't realise the walls are paper thin here but it sounds like it's in my living room. I don't want to stop them making their working lives better but even moving the radio away from my door may help? Nope. Tell them you have a headache and can they move their radio away or turn it down a bit. They wont mind.
An alarm is going off somewhere outside and its doing my head in.
Tea, well done on the scary thing. I've joined you in your sojourn outside the wagon (that lasted a long time, eh??) and have stuffed my face today and done no workouts. In fact, DH must have been feeling bad because yesterday he did all the shopping and bought a roulade and yesterday we just went at it with spoons from each end (ooh err missus).
Hooray, annoying alarm has stopped.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
Code, I am so far off the wagon I can't even see it. I am blaming hormones. PMS should never coincide with reduced-price Easter eggs... that was always going to end in disaster.
FOH is away this weekend. Was supposed to be Friday to Tues but he's now back on Sunday. I feel v bad about just how disappointed I am lol! I bet in a few months time the novelty of a peaceful, clean, tidy house will totally have worn off.0 -
Sometimes I remember how wonderful it is to live in such a technological era. Before, if I got an earworm that wouldn't quit*, I'd have to wait til I got home, search through my CDs or even worse, tapes for the song. Now, if I want to hear a song, its a few clicks away on spotify or youtube or itunes. I've got so used to it, I take it for granted, but its pretty great really.

I was thinking similar the other day while having one of those "what do I recognise her from" moments.0
