I've always found zipvit.co.uk have the best prices, fast postage, often 10% off deals.
They do flaxseed oil for example, for those allergic to fish https://www.zipvit.co.uk/flax-seed-oil-1000mg-779.html
Deal with things as they are, not as they should be.

Simmel cake is great if you like marzipan, as it has a layer in the middle and marzipan balls on top!

I quite like it. Haven't made it for years, though!

I wouldn't like it very much I don't think, I'm not that keen on marzipan.

Been to Ennerdale (or Emmerdale as DH calls it!) to climb Bowness Knott. My Dad said he wanted his ashes scattered there, right at the top so he can see everything!

It was basically a recce to see how far/how hard it was for my Mam to see if she could manage ok. I have I say, I really don't think she could, it's a really long way to walk, and apparently that was the easy way! Easier but a lot longer. Might try the harder way next Sunday? I'll be sad for her if she doesn't do it, but as she says, she doesn't want to have a funny do whilst up there. I told her we'd get a trip in a helicopter! :rotfl:

Was really busy in the car park as there was an Easter Egg trail on!

Physically, I didn't find it hard, but I'm mentally drained now, so tired.

If she really can't manage the whole way, would you consider taking her part of the way, then continuing and filming the actual scattering for her to view later, or even 'live' if you have that facility on your phone or tablet?
Or would she consider using a semi-automatic wheelchair to take her as far as possible, then walking the rest of the way?

Do you particularly need to scatter the ashes this year, georgie?

Could you help your mum improve her fitness or wait until she is mentally stronger?

Is there anyone responsible for the land eg wardens, who could give her a lift part way if they know her circumstances - maybe at a time that it is quieter.

Don't be afraid to ask for help or run some ideas by people. I bet there are people who would be more than happy to help if they know how to help.
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Thanks, but the ground is way too rough and too steep in parts for one of those, good idea though. :) Tbh, she's actually very fit and walks up and down the hill where she lives and round town most days....she does more exercise than me! But this isn't just a gentle stroll. I'll be going out again with my Uncle, so I'll see what he thinks.

I like the idea about streaming it live, that's definetly something to think about.

Something to do if you are bored!

This is entirely for fun! Do not take this seriously, no one can be put into boxes! I take this test every year and it always comes out the same. It is based on a real psychological test and for me at least, is oddly scarily accurate even on the negative points. I am always an INFP.

As my signature suggests, I am an INTP, with an extra "A" on this test. I don't see myself as assertive, far from it, but I definitely don't match "turbulent".

    100% introverted (no surprise there!)
    92% Intuitive
    85% Thinking
    78% Prospecting (aka Percieving)

I'm entirely happy to be in a category with Newton and Einstein :D

Good idea, to put it on one's signature!
I shall follow suit and see if I can find any kindred INFJs(Turbulent)!

We'd like to do it this year. Her fitness is already pretty good, she runs rings round me sometimes! It's more to do with the fact that she's had two heart attacks and these fainting do's because her blood pressure drops. It's a long way and fairly rough in parts.

    I'm sure we'll sort something out! :)

Or perhaps choose a very fine day, take a picnic and do it in two or even three stages, taking the whole day if needs be, with planned picnic/refreshment/rest stops!
At each stop, you could recount some of the funny things your dad used to say!
