Madeira..... My sister is very keen on Simnel cake. She made us (the other 2 sisters) simnel cake for our Christmas presents*. I don't think I'd ever had a home made one before, and it was wonderful!

*We have a non-aggression pact between the 3 of us, and are only allowed to spend a fiver each. :D

    Happy Easter, everyone :j

    Happy Easter everyone!

I shall be making a Simnel Cake today! I hope. Milliefleur is in Yorkshire with her huge family so it is just WaSp and I with eggs and cake and a roast dinner. I am not complaining.

The personality test is completely accurate for me even on my negative points, disorganisation, ability to express myself through writing and career choice. It has never changed and I have been doing it for years now. I just class it as fun but there is a whole lot of me there in the answers. It's very curious...

Does anyone else get rebellious about stupid things? I take vitamins everyday - multivitamin + extra vit C (immune system), D (I live in Scotland and have blue skin), B12 (possible deficiency). They help. I know they do because I get fewer colds, and I feel better when I take them. Every so often, I get "rebellious" with myself and refuse to take them, even though I know I should. At the moment, I am sniffling and know its because I need to take my anti- histamines but I wont because...I don't know.

I am like this with my asthma inhaler. I never used to be asthmatic and I don't being asthmatic so I leave it until I am rasping away and struggling before I give in and take it.

I read something the other day that vit c tablets don't help prevent colds. Or help cure them once you have the lurgy.

The only thing I've ever taken is an iron tablet as my levels get a bit low sometimes and I should take vitamin d as well although the sun is shining in the west of Scotland today (miracle).

I read that too, but it makes me feel better. Maybe a placebo or perhaps my body needs loads. Dunno. In any case, I have expensive wee.

Sun is also shining on the east coast. Taps aff weather.

Home bargains sell inexpensive tablets, Poundworld and poundland also.

H and b make my eyes water for the price of their supplements. I buy other things from them now and then, but I'd definitely go to home bargains if I needed a supplement.

One thing I am trying to eat more of is omega 3.

Do love a bit of Home Bargains. My vits are normally supermarket buys rather than h&b ones. I definitely need to suppplement the omega 3 as I'm allergic to fish and seafood. I take vegan supplements.
