  • He said call if we have any problems with new alarm or would like any advice on further fire proofing the flat. All he recommended today was that we get a fire blanket for the kitchen, and not smoke in the bedroom because the sensor in there is both a heat and a smoke detector. I never did and WaSp never does so no worries there. We now have heat detectors in the living room and kitchen which won't go off unless the temperature is above 59c so they really shouldn't ever go off accidentally.

Do the e-cigs set off smoke alarms? Are you still just on e-ecigs?

Do you vote, WaS? Or does that make you too paranoid? Do you have postal voting or by proxy voting?

I always do those 'voting calculator' things in the online newspapers, in the run up to elections. Just for fun really. I was a bit horrified last night when it said that I agreed mostly with UKIP. (And I'm not against immigration). I wasn't expecting that (and I doubt I will vote for them).

I am still on e-cigs only and they don;t set off the alarms because they just 'blow out' cold water vapour. WaSp still smokes but never has in the bedroom so we are safe there.

I have a postal vote set up although I tend to avoid politics for the most part, it scares the life out of me and starts me worrying about the future. I will vote, however so that I have a reason to complain if someone gets in if I haven't chosen and a reason to sulk if someone I did vote for gets in and messes up. I am mostly joking in the previous sentence!

I think that's a perfectly valid reason for voting!

Have never been undecided before but I really can't make my mind up this time. Am down to a choice of two... may just toss a coin :p

Are you feeling the benefits of not smoking, WaS? You've been off the weed for quite a while, now :j
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
  • I am, JM! Although my cough is a lot worse because e-cigs can be very dry and it can take a year for your lungs to clear themselves out of tobacco gunk. It has to be better for me, though.

    Errrmm....

Speaking of weed, I suspect there is a cannabis farm on my street. It went up for let and then some people with a massive van moved in and since then there have been no cars in the drive and no lights but the bins are always full. I smelled weed when I walked past last night and it kind of clicked. Am I meant to report something like that? Also my neigbbours grow some and I don't want to get them into trouble too.

I know exactly who I'm voting for.
