Ooh holiday!!
I go to the gym in some right old manky clothes lol. Years ago (maybe 10 or more) I bought some big jogging bottoms to wear after an operation. I just wear them and an antique t shirt.
I look a complete state0 -

We've just booked our summer holiday so now I am
a) skint
b) panicking about being a chubster and getting my fat butt to the gym.
c) realising I need a new gym kit for said fat butt but too poor to buy one.

Asda do some ok stuff. I've got no idea on sports bras as my tiny chest is never going to have anyone's eye out, but I've had decent joggers etc from there before now. Nothing fancy, but I'm not a fancy gym sort of person :rotfl:.0

My gym is a dodgy basement room in my office building which costs me less than £10 a month so neither am I. I do need the sports bra though.
Supermarket joggers are always 6inches too short. Will pop into the supermarket on the way home and see what they have.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

I buy most of my workout gear from Barnardos. If you are near one, many of them do clothes at 99p. Ive had a couple of pairs of Nike workout clothes, all different brands, Im not a brand person as it were, Im happy stoating about in any old make. Im comfortable in leggings as well, but as I buy a lot of workout stuff (Im a PT), its great to get it so cheaply.
Im small, so I wear a lot of stuff that goes to the knee or just below.
The best sports bras Ive ever worn have been shock absorber, someone actually gave me one they never wore as it didnt fit, they cost about 30 quid, but they do work very well.
At the moment Im wearing sports direct ones and Im not so keen on them. I buy the ones that go over the head as theres nothing worse than bra strap falling down mid class.
Btw, speaking as someone who was 25kgs heavier just short of 2 years ago, Ive been every size there is, Im currently a 12 and I was a 16-18 back then, if you can suffer it, high intensity interval training is what works, one girl who does my classes has lost just short of two stones in less than a year by doing 4 x 30 min HIIT classes a week. You can get really good results very quickly if you dont mind working yourself till you resemble a burst baw.
Im in scotland and I think you are as well, so if you do have a barnardos in your area, it might be worth looking into if you dont mind wearing second hand stuff.
Asda do workout joggers, they are 5 quid from recollection and they are the ones that have a drawstring at the waist, I bought a pair of those second hand and they wash and wear really really well.0 -
Oh yes! I love flying saucers! You can still get them!
I have a marshmallow plant, and sometimes the flower does taste of marshmallow! Yes, I do try it!
You used to be able to buy actual liquorice root, which was very fibrous, so you just sucked it. I love liquorice, but can't stand Haribo, or the very soft kind. No-one seems to sell the hard, very chewy liquorice sticks any more.
And Tiger nuts!
Flying Saucers... mmmmmmmm!
Marshmallows... mmmmmmmm!
Liquorice - just had a few pieces! Mine really tastes of liquorice, rather than just aniseed. :j
Liquorice plants can be bought from a farm in Yorkshire, if you want to grow your own roots. :TNeeds, NOT wants!
No food waste since November 2010. :j

The reason I dont like sports direct so much is that they dont give much support, Im not very top heavy and my size has gone down as Ive lost weight, but there have been times mid class when wearing a sports direct bra Ive felt that Ive not had enough support, whereas even when I was heavier up top, I never once felt uncomfortable wearing a shock absorber bra.
They really are a very good make, worth paying the 25 quid or so.0
