  • Yep, we've got snow as well. I'd say it's more than a half-hearted dusting - about an inch thick - but fortunately our road seems to be clear so it should be OK to drive.

I just throw warm water at the windscreen......

Eek! I've been told never to do that as it could crack the glass!

If the window ice is very thick, I do use a de-icer, but hate that too!

JM - never, ever do that again or you risk cracking your windscreen.

Currently getting hugs from my favourite cuddle monster. My bum and back hurt because I slipped on the ice and fell on my way to work yesterday.

    Try a covered ice pack.

Oh no code! Hope youre ok. We'll get an extra soft pillow in the duvet fort for you :)

Bit of snow here too. Light dusting on the side roads, main roads were already clear by 7.30. Just pigging freezing now... am so cold!

I fear it may be too late for the icepack. It was a comedy fall - my feet went out from under me and I landed on my back, and hit my bum, back and head. I've never been happier to have a well-upholstered rear end. I got up and walked to work where I was roundly mocked for my clumsiness. Its like an ice rink here.

I find there's always loads of people around when I do things like that... never happens when no one's looking :rotfl:.

Hope you haven't done any damage x.

While there's pain, it's never too late for an icepack. You may have jolted your pelvic or lumbar joints, resulting in some dysfunction of the little joints, and possible a slight sprain of them, so an ice pack would then be indicated to reduce any localised inflammation.

It was right at the carpark leading into the station and a taxi driver saw it. Didn't help me up or anything. How rude.
