    Is anyone watching the eclipse?

Thick, thick cloud here. :( foiled again. Was foiled in Cornwall,in 1999, and now foiled here. Grrrrrrrrrrr! It's due to be fully sunny by midday! So near yet so far! :(

It is getting quite dark though - which is kind of cool. But I'm easily pleased lol.

    About half-covered here now.

It's too cloudy here, my window is on the wrong side to see if and it's looking quite dark, will pop through to an office on the right side but doubt I'll see anything.

WaS, as always your posts about your illnesses are very interesting reading! You make things very easy to absorb. :)

  • Sun! :D Just in time, made a little pinhole camera by stabbing a piece of cardboard with a self tapping screw, resulting on a 1/4" image of the eclipsed sun projected onto another bit of cardboard :)

I'm easily pleased too, and should be working!

Bah... couldn't get my pinhole camera to work and it didn't even get that dark. Feel distinctly underwhelmed.

    Much, much too cloudy. :(

It got darker, that's all. :(

    Such a shame.

Pinhole camera didn't work. But just at the right time the combination of thin cloud cover and sunglasses (I know, I know, don't shout at me) allowed myself and neighbour to get a quick glimpse when it was as nearly all covered. Plus we had a nice catchup which doesn't happen much any more as he is unwell and doesn't get out much.
I also expected it to get darker than it did.
