It's too cloudy here, my window is on the wrong side to see if and it's looking quite dark, will pop through to an office on the right side but doubt I'll see anything.

Just in time, made a little pinhole camera by stabbing a piece of cardboard with a self tapping screw, resulting on a 1/4" image of the eclipsed sun projected onto another bit of cardboard

Pinhole camera didn't work. But just at the right time the combination of thin cloud cover and sunglasses (I know, I know, don't shout at me) allowed myself and neighbour to get a quick glimpse when it was as nearly all covered. Plus we had a nice catchup which doesn't happen much any more as he is unwell and doesn't get out much.
I also expected it to get darker than it did.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
