  • I agree with Pyxis, whitewing! Buy something lovely for yourself! I hope the work situation sorts itself out soon, we are always here for you.

I have been up all night cleaning! The flat is all tidy now so we are waiting for today's visitors. I am really hoping that this is it for a while.

Morning all! I must be quick, as I am now very late. I've just had DH on the bed (ooo-er missus, I mean SITTING on the bed) and have read him WaS's long post - we were both really interested. :) (Poor WaSsy :( )

pyxis, come to my fast party! Thursday is a better day for a fast anyway :D (Note to self - must remember to stock up on cat food today. Note to others - cat food is what we call those ready tuna meals, for example http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/shop/gb/groceries/canned-tinned-packaged-fish/john-west-tuna-light-lunch-mediterranean-220g which are so good for fast days!)

whitewing - £25 goes a long way if you buy ice cream! Seriously, this was a revelation to me at some point, that a smallish amount of money buys a lot of some basic things which make you feel good :) You can have fun thinking about what the thing is that would make you happiest for £25, even if that's not what you end up spending it on, IYSWIM. :D In fact, I throw it out as a general question here. What could you buy for £25 that would make you happy? I'll have to think about it....

I could buy all my spring bedding plants etc. Which would make me happy all summer when I looked at my colourful back yard. (That's confirmed it - garden centres and national trust, there's no hope for me now!)

    I would buy...
    - some new pj's (nothing flash, really like some of the asda ones),
    - some nice shower gel and matching body lotion (again, nothing fancy)
    - a Viennese bar from Thorntons
    - a DVD

Then have a lovely night in :)

I have just held the bedroom door open so it didn't swing closed on a fireman on a ladder. I was level with his errr waist. Just mentioning it in passing!

  • Ooooo-er! Sounds like these visitors aren't too bad, WaS ;)

I just want to curl up in my fluffy duvet and sleep today. I am so tired. These meds are taking it out of me a bit...
