Ok, I'm going to be less gung-ho than the others.

I'm going to say why not take your time? He has clearly implied intent and wish but also said.....EVENTUALLY. There is no distance pressure; you can date normally and build up a relationship over time and before jumping in with both feet entering the turmoil you have done fairly recently, why not just pace it and let it progress over a slightly more relaxed time period. Let your emotions and biochemistry play a longer game and draw out the beginning bit a little? :o

Its not that I'm not thrilled for you, I am. Very much so. :). And what ever you do you have support :)
Actually LiR that does make a lot of sense. I should take things a bit slower and not get too caught up in the excitement :)

I have had a filling replaced in order to treat a microfracture.

My face has finally stopped feeling weird and the tooth doesn't hurt anymore. :j

I have had a visit from two people from the local council regarding the Japanese Knotweed/small glitch thing.

They were friendly, encouraging, took pictures and said they'd talk to the landowners regarding all the issues.

I have spent hours rearranging my back room to accommodate a new piece of furniture that's being delivered tomorrow.

For years, I've had bits and pieces dotted over a set of really cheap and nasty shelves.

Records, CDs, stationery, a hi fi, a turntable gadget that turns records to CDs, maintenance bits, personal files and so on.

I've augmented the cheap and nasty shelves with a smaller set of shelves and small filing cabinet which has one small drawer for files and two more for 'bits'.

I was trawling the BHF Furniture store for another filing cabinet (two or three drawers to replace the one I've already got) on the day they had received dozens of filing cabinets just like the one I was trying to replace.

Literally dozens. Stacked in twos upstairs and downstairs. It was clearly some sort of office clearance.

I also came across a huge cabinet. Three drawers which open side on for files, three shelves above them and it's lockable.

    I bought it. £30 with a £20 delivery charge.

And today, in preparation for it's arrival, I've gone through the records, got rid of one of my two record cases (from Woolworths, in a groovy 80s abstract pattern), cleared and cleaned the two shelves and the filing cabinet and now I'm surrounded by a load of stuff that's waiting for the new file cabinet to arrive.

I'm getting rid of the flimsy, make do bits of furniture and buying something very substantial.

For some reason, it feels very important.
 Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway...

BH really did change tone throughout its run. The first series is a lot lighter and more stand-alone, without the v involved story arc of the later ones. Loved it all though. I loved how dark it got, and how complicated! We used to watch it (without speaking, FOH wasn't allowed to say anything lol), then we'd sit there for ages afterwards talking about it and getting even more confused.

Obviously this was some time ago, back in the days when we actually used to do things together and speak to each other.

I have to go and get some vit d pills today. The GP called a couple of weeks ago to say vit d levels were low, and had dropped quickly, and today he called after chatting to the team said he understood that I must be really exhausted on top of the fatigue because as he said they are low, but they really are low. Only reasonable way forward is supplementation, but there is query as to whether I'll be able to absorb the vit d. We'll know in three months. seems like it will be hard to tell what's vit d and what's sun starting at this time of year.

FOH has a day off today, just to use up some holiday. We had a lovely chat last night (about what we're both doing at the weekend, about a theatre trip we had ages ago that we'd both enjoyed etc). During the chat I jokingly said that he could spend the day cleaning the house. I have friday afternoons off and usually spend the time doing housework (which I quite enjoy - how sad is that?) Was just a bit of banter during a nice conversation. I thought he might manage to put some washing on but that was it.

Woke up this morning with his arm round me.

He's just text to say he's cleaned the whole house, including the windows and he hopes it's up to scratch! Even got a kiss on the text.

Am now sat at work bawling my eyes out.

Why is he doing this?? I need him to be the disinterested, unhelpful, unsupportive, uncommunicative eejit he's been for the last two years or I don't think I can do this. I can't cope with him showing an interest in my plans for the weekend, volunteering affection and cleaning.

Really thought I was doing ok but am a wreck now. It's all just too late.
  • Big hugs, tea. I will say more when I get back. Hang in there, we all there with you.

Mad rush to get out to the Rainforest here. Right on cue the bathroom ceiling has a leak and we have no water pressure so something has been broken but we actually decided we don't care! We have told the builders and given them permission to access the flat while we aren't here, I still want to go and see animals. I may be swimming into the flat when I get back but nothing is keeping me from animals! See you all later!

Happy Red Nose Day, everyone. Littlewing went to school all dressed up.

Oh Tea, massive hugs for you. It must be so tough but remember that it's too little, too late. So, he's realised that you mean business and he's got to leave which means he's putting a little effort in to be nice now in the vain hope that you change your mind and stay with him. How long would this new extra-niceness last? I doubt he'd keep it up for any longer than 3 months. This has happened to so many people, so many times. The man 'turns over a new leaf' but as soon as everything is settled down they go back to how they were. You should be angry that he's clearly got it in him to be nice and helpful yet chose not to be for the last 2 years!

Hope you have a wonderful time at the rainforest WaS! Gosh, doesn't seem like 2 minutes since you were visiting the penguins! :)

I'm wearing my red nose specs today and they've given me a headache; I'm so happy I had laser eye surgery 3 years ago so I don't have to bother with glasses any more!

Ooh WaS, forgot today is rainforest day. Hope it's fabulous!!

Birdie, you are spot on...too little too late. Instead of being pathetically pleased that he's managed to wash his own pants I should be cross that he's left me to do everything for years.

Fortunately I have a great day planned tomorrow :). Going to see Jeeves and Wooster at Birmingham rep. Just need to decide what to wear! Will be out all day including shopping, meal and theatre...tough clothing decision.

Am watching Percy cat climb trees like he's being chased by a demon. He's energetic for an old boy :D
