Ah pyxis, if only time were on my side. The company is being bought out and I'm likely to be out on my ear in the next few months. In some ways though this could be a good thing - as then I'll have the fear to inspire me (yes, I still watch too much Friends :D)

Thanks peeps. Isn't it odd how often we're envious of other people but then how much we beat ourselves up about it... what's that all about??
Once the house is yours, what about a lodger? Would help with the mortgage and the bills if you get made redundant.

My experience is that when we are busy being jealous of others, they are busy being jealous of us!
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

I'm not confused about the sex dreams, I'm confused by them always being interrupted before the good bit :rotfl: Better watch out Birdie, I have a thing for Y2J too so I might steal Mr Birdie :rotfl:

Tea - must be crap living with FOH. Aiden whatsit? Was he the vampire in Being Human?

My taste in men is weird. I like guys like Roman Reigns but I also fancy Sal and Q from Impractical Jokers :rotfl:

That's the one code - beautiful, beautiful Mitchell. *swoons*
I love being human :o:). I'm sure it was aimed at teenagers or something lol, but I was obsessed with it. Even though it did get beyond complicated by about series 3.

I only dip in here occasionally but this is my favourite topic on any forum as you're all so supportive :o

MU - Yay! and all the best with the (not yet official) new BF!

tea - I think it's natural to re-evaluate one's own life after something significant happening in that of someone close to us - whether it's "I wish it was me" or "I'm glad it's not me!" It makes us focus on the positives and negatives in our own lives. I know I do it, most notably both times I became an uncle. I'm not jealous of my brother, I don't want his life, but it makes me think of how I got to where I am and the choices I made, missed opportunities and so on.

Lately I've been having dreams where I've been getting close to other guys, e.g. that work colleague, an old boyfriend I had great chemistry with and Roman Reigns.

I get dreams like this from time to time, I'm single though. Never with sexytimes, but with nice boy - girl things, kissing, laughing etc. They have featured an ex (that makes them nightmares after what she did to me  ), a different ex (makes me sad as we just sort of 'stopped' and I really liked her) and a few times one of my female friends that I have never had anything more than a platonic friendship with. Those last are the worst to wake up from, as it's a transition from a moment of real happiness to waking up alone in the dead of night.

No idea what my subconscious is telling me with all of this, and never get dreams about celebs. Perhaps my brain can't come up with a scenario where I bump into Juliette Binoche or Charlotte Gainsbourg :p.

... and my build has finished so I'd better get back to debugging!

I'm sorry, I just can't resist!..............so what were you when you weren't human?

I really liked "Being Human" too. That is, I loved the first series, when it had a comedic touch, but then it started to get very dark and heavy and I didn't like it as much, and so stopped watching it. I thought it was a shame.
The original mix of characters was fantastic, and how the growing realisation of what they were affected them. The parallels with addiction, disability and mental health issues were originally very well played out, I thought.

Pyxis - I agree with you. I loved the first series of 'Being Human' when it was just about a werewolf, vampire and ghost living in the same house, then it changed to something a whole lot darker and I didn't like it as much. I did like Mitchell though.

I have funeralled. Everyone managed to put issues aside for the day and remember why they were there which was a relief. So all over now, back to everyday stuff.

Just wondering if JM has to wear a fetching hat while matched betting for Cheltenham, or do you save it for Ascot? I had a colleague who took Cheltenham off from work every year, and was extremely traumatised when someone got in first.

Hello to all the missing persons, it does seem to have been quieter on here of late without you guys.

Soooo glad the funeral went well. I remember my Mum's funeral was a tremendous relief when over - the whole day was mega-stressful as there was some sort of a national transport strike, my car broke down, and some sweet person I didn't know very well drove me all the way from the Chilterns to deep South London (and took a day off from her holiday) to make sure I got there. We are still very good friends, unsurprisingly.

Ha ha ha to the fetching ensemble. I don't actually go to the racecourse. The money making bit is ALL done behind a computer, often in jim jams, and the putting on bets is done at the computer or in a sordid betting shop!!!!! I find the whole 4 days of Chelt very stressful and will be glad when they are over..... But if I don't muck up tomorrow I will have made about £1000 this week. (Please note that what I do at Cheltenham is not pure matched betting, it's a bit riskier than that, which is why I get very stressed!!!!)

The matched betting joke is that if you go to betting shops you wear specially horrible clothes, to fit in!
