    Codemonkey, spot-on! :T :T

I've known people that on the face of it had everything I would have liked, lovely biggish house, doting children, handsome hubby, loving family life, but as I got to know them better, I could see the worm in the wood, and it wasn't pretty. They weren't happy, for various reasons.

  • Hahahahahaha! I love that, Pyxis!

Spot on, code! Very few situations that look idyllic from the outside are so on the inside, everyone has a story. Sometimes what we have right now is just fine.

On a slightly disgruntled note sometimes I wonder if I express myself badly. Someone just suggested I try a water aerobics group. Now, for a start I have an ED and won't even wear sleeveless tops because I hate how fat I think I look, so a swimming costume just isn't happening. Secondly, it takes a blanket over me to get from the house to the car, how exactly am I going to manage again, a swimming costume in front of a group of people? Thirdly, I am scared of water! Now I feel like if I say no it looks like I am being negative and not willing to try which I try not to do. It was meant well and it could work for other people with joint problems but not for me.

I'd say that despite some real crud in the past I'm pretty happy in my home life. The big clinging change would be health. :) I think a surprising number of people have things we wouldn't like or could envy, but its how they handle it or outlook that can make the difference really on how 'good' life can be.

Oh, after a spell of great days posting has obviously jinxed it, my feet are swelling at the rate of knots. I have something important happening that I would have liked not to look at my worse for and as hormones bumped I am guessing I am now going to go incredibly swollen sore and with spots.....lol.
  • I am there with you, LIR! I have a throbbing pain in my hip making me limp and two beautiful volcanoes growing on each cheek. Just in time for the rainforest. I will look so wonderful.

Someone just spent ten minutes hammering on the door and looking through the window. Am  and :(. I hate people coming to my house, always have done. Especially when it's dark and I'm in my pjs. As I was in the kitchen they could see I was there and just kept hammering, it was horrible. I hid, how pathetic is that?

Was probably someone for FOH, I'll no doubt be in trouble about that as well.

So the date went well, we went bowling and had some games in the arcade :D (didn't win any cuddly toys though), we went back to his food food (he cooked me egg and chips because he said he remembred that i'd say it was my fave meal on the dating site), ended up chilling out, watching the footie and films, then i managed to miss the last bus... :o so i ended up crashing at his. (no funny business though, i'm a lady!), he lent me some pjs and gave me a change of clothes for today too :o I only just got home.

And it went so well i'm going back to see him tomorrow :D

Before anyone worries about me staying over, he lives at home so his parents were there so i think he was unlikely to be a serial killer, and he gave me his address and said to give it to my friends so they knew exactly where i was if they were worried.

He is a lovely guy and we did get on very well. :) He made sure i got a bus today and was messaging me the whole way home to make sure i got back safely. And said he had a wonderful time and can't wait to see me again :)

So it's been a good day :D And its nice to think i may have potentially met someone that isn't long distance, who i can see every week multiple times if i wanted to. We've talked about it and i know we both ultimetly want a relationship so we shall see how things go.
