LiR....yes, if I get a big stress, I suddenly find I'm dealing with the smaller stresses much better. However, for me, the delight in seeing the small stresses dealt with is overshadowed by the bigger stress making me ill! I don't know what's best! :D

    code....any Portuguese pics?

WaS..... Have they painted the mushrooms? :D

  • Now, why aren't they working on the house? I need builders like that!

Current mushroom count-two. Once the outside of the building is done they are starting to work on the inside which means the mushrooms may stop! None have fallen on my head lately which is always a good thing.

    MFP-My Fitness Pal, I believe.

Tea - I don't like the friends thing - I don't want anyone to know how much I weigh or how little I've lost. I'd get all competitive and then upset when everyone loses much more weight than me, because weight loss on these drugs is almost impossible. If I can firm up a little bit, that might make a difference.

Pyxis - MFP is My Fitness Pal. There's an app for it, which allows you to scan the barcode of the food you're eating and produces the nutritional informations for you. I do have pics but I'm feeling strangely weird about posting them for some reason.

Hmmm, I never get builders like that round my house!

Yes, myfitnesspal. Basically a food logging website. It has a really extensive database of foods so is v handy for creating a food diary, especially as you can scan barcodes.

Can also log exercise, and there's a forum (pretty basic) and the option to link with friends.

I find it really helpful to keep track of what I'm actually eating, can be quite eye-opening at times lol.

The trouble MFP is that I log my calories and if I cut the junk food, I seem to find it quite hard to hit the minimum number of calories for all the exercise I do. Then the app shouts at me (in app terms, it doesn't actually make a noise).

We've not picked up dumbass dog yet as mil insisted we hold off so she can say goodbye. The house feels wrong without him.

Yeah it can be of a bit of a blunt instrument. It's got its uses (and has definitely helped me) but it certainly doesn't fit every situation. It really wasn't happy with me when I had tonsilitis and lived on a few yoghurts a day I kept logging as I didn't want to lose my streak but it kept telling me off... v annoying!

He's going to be so excited to see you, bless him! Lots of cuddles in store!

I was just getting ready (ok, I know, but the benefit of being without dumbass dog is a pyjama day), with music in the background. A song I used to listen to a lot when I was a teenager came on and it made me remember 15 year old, lying on her bed, with crazy coloured hair and a 28 inch waist (I thought I was enormous!), dreaming about the future.

I imagined a high flying job, an attentive, gorgeous husband, a great town house in the city (because we'd be rich) and 2 or 3 kids. Fast forward 30 years and I have a husband who likes football and computer games more than me, a crappy job I'm too anxious to leave, no kids and a tiny house in a suburban area of town. Having said that, if I'd got my wish: the high flying job would mean I never saw my kids, my husband would be similarly high powered so I'd never see him either and he'd probably be banging his secretary and my kids would be brats because they'd have been brought up by an au pair (probably banging my husband too). And I wouldn't have DH, who can be wonderful when I get him away from sporting events and games, or Dumbass dog.
