When there's no one to talk to at home, no one else to help and just a work/sleep cycle going on, it's hard to keep a sense of perspective.
    s.
    That's so right, everything escalates.

Is there any way you can pretend to be friendly with them? That sounds awful, I know, but it's harder to be nasty to people who are being friendly to you. Even saying things like" lovely day, isn't it!" Might help. And similarly, try complimenting the kids, say, on their hairstyle or T-shirt or bike. It may sound contrived to you, but again, it's hard for kids to be mean to someone who has just said they like their hair!

Something daft, like you have half a cake you can't eat....take it round there for the kids. Yes, you're playing a game by doing all this, but they don't seem to respond to normal requests for respect, so maybe the big guns have to come out.....the Iago School of Getting What You Want, followed by the Uriah Heap College of Influencing People! :D:D:D

Gitdog and I are here. We are practicing for Crufts. This is obedience, and the command is "stand." As you can see, it's going well - he's looking interested, even though movement appears to be a somewhat more distant possibility.

Hope the poorlies feel better soon.

I didn't make it into the garden today, due to not getting my behind out of bed before the rain started. Nor have I done any of the cleaning or ironing that were on today's list due to being buried under a mound of paperwork I can no longer ignore as it's becoming a fire hazard. Lovely walk in the fresh air at dusk though - very peaceful round the lake with no-one else around. Cleared the head a bit.

The only emo I know is Emo Phillips, if that counts?

Speedy hello from the hot place.

Elsien - gitdog is so handsome, obedience doesn't matter.
