AVG is a good one, it's better than a lot of the paid for ones! Just don't use the windows Security System, it is utterly useless.
I used to go to with Wasp to work sometimes and he would give me to fix all of the computers he had in for repair that had viruses and spyware. I actually enjoy tracking it down and removing it in the registry, it's like being a detective. It is slightly harder to instruct someone how to do it from a distance though, especially if they have no idea how an operating system works.Until one has loved an animal a part of one's soul remains unawakened - Anatole France

Oh man, I forgot how much I hate shopping. Went into town to 'pick up a few things' and now I'm tired and grumpy and sore. I felt murderous every time someone stopped in the middle of a busy area. Ended up spending so much money too.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0

MU, I just don't get it. I was overheating and furious by the 2nd shop. Too many annoying teens and people with buggies blocking the aisles right in front of the thing I wanted to look at. Also a girl who looked about 12 was telling her friends she wanted to buy a slutty top :eek:Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Can i ask, obviously you're still in the situation of living with FOH but does it feel any better to be working through things? You're making progress, it's never going to be quick, but you're doing whats best for you and all these annoyingly little things that crop up are part of the bigger picture which will eventually lead to a clean break
It feels better to have made the decision and be working on it. It's just irritating that it's such slow going. Am so ready for the clean break now, just want to rip that plaster off!
After the car insurance moment was looking for some other paperwork and found the estate agent pics from when we bought the place. Was all nostalgic and sad. But then FOH came home and literally within one minute of being in the house he was doing my head in. When he said he wasn't going out tonight I could have cried lol.
It's prob one of those 'careful what you wish for' times - I know when he eventually leaves I'll miss him so much and wonder why I ever wanted to end things. But that's why I have my list of 'reasons I want to slap you' ready :rotfl:0 -
Apologies in advance, but this is going to be a lengthy rant
Just watched "Being Bipolar" on 4od. And i'm !!!!ed off. I was hoping it might be a balanced portrayal of what its like to live with this illness. It wasn't. For starters why they felt a psychotherapist was the best person to do the damn thing is beyond me, a psychiatrist would be a better choice. This woman is biased and convinced that the only cause of bipolar is soley environmental to the point she is ignoring any other causes. >.<
Of the people taking part Sian was the one i could relate to (as i also have type 2), her experience is very similar to mine, but i got !!!!ed off that the woman presenting it once again assumed it was due to some traumatic !!!! that must have happened to cause it, completely discounting the fact it might be a more biological cause, Sian clearly stated she had never had any trauma in her life but the stupid woman presenting seemed unable to !!!!ing accept that.
80% of people with bipolar take medication, and yet apparently thats a bad thing. Asking hoe people would be without them mirrors my experience, my meds keep me stable, they help me function. Without them i probably wouldn't be here and that thought terrifies me, but i see it no different to someone with diabetes needing insulin. So when i hear someone telling us that medication isn't needed and that its no cure (which is true, its not a cure, but it was never given as a cure, it just helps manage symptoms) i get !!!!ed off. . And still the stupid bint banged on about how bipolar is caused by bad experiences. I could practically punch the woman who said "bipolar isn;t a chemical imbalance". If medication doesn't work and isn't needed then pray do tell WHY THE HELL does my mood alter so dramatically and quickly without them? Why do they WORK at keeping me stable?
The programme did touch on research into genetics, this was probably its saving grace though still most of this was ignored. That guy rejected the fact bipolar is 100% environmental, And yet its still worrying that the psychotherapist is reluctant to accept this. Surely as a medical professional she should have a more balanced view of the causes if she's going to be able to help people?
Overall i'm disappointed with the bias, and the opinion that people with bipolar somehow make a conscious choice to experience highs/lows. For me its a chemical inbalance that although not cured by medication can be helped by it I'm not saying other therapies cannot be helpful, i'm sure they can but we need to look at the bigger picture if we are ever to understand this illness and help people. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. I think the problem is that we actually don't know that much about mental illness and its very difficult to experiment in the same way as other diseases. But instead of saying 'we don't know but we think this might contribute...', all the different schools seem incapable of working together and creating a bigger picture. Its all 'we're right and they're wrong and we'll ignore any evidence to the contrary'.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0
