Big hugs elsien, I can't really help because it isn't a subject that I am very good at dealing with. But I am thinking of you, please talk here anytime you need to.

Hope you managed to get out tea and had a great time!

I never knew you met MR JM online, JM! I am so glad that I was brave enough to talk online or I would never have met my american friend. It started off as a mentoring friendship when she was 15 and very troubled but as she grew older it turned into an equal friendship. She is 30 now and I have visited her once for 3 months and she has visited me 6 times for between 1-3 months at a time. We hope that she can come over next year (she is currently working full time as a psychotherapist, working as a teaching assistant for experience for an international university tutoring qualification and doing her Masters in clinical research so is a tad busy!) and stay for a couple of months. It is lovely for WaSp when she can, too because he gets a little break from caring for me and can come and go as pleases while we laze around giggling a lot and catching up.

Eventually, she wants to move over here if it is possible which would just be wonderful. It is why she is getting so many desirable qualifications that she knows employers want under her belt and is focusing so heavily on her career. Her next step is a psychiatry qualification which means she should out-qualify most of her peers and be very desirable to universities worldwide for a professorship or research position, especially as she also has a lot of work experience. I really hope she manages it, she started off with such an awful life and has done this all by herself with no family support.

Something my teacher friend pointed out was he found me at the age of 13 and hurting and helped me and we became close friends, I met my american friend when she was 15 and hurting and helped her and now we are close friends. In a way I passed it on. Both of my friends also email each other, too, we are a little supportive circle. Life is interesting.

    I totally waffled there...

The headache is still there! It has been 4 days now. It goes towards the end of the day and wakes me up the next by stabbing me in the right eye. I am following the neurologists advice and standing upright and using the nasal spray immediately which works for a couple of hours. This is really, really annoying.

My first opinion neurologist has remembered I exist and sent me a review appt. however I cannot go the day neuro wants me so I have a valid reason to defer. I hate that consultant.
  • Hahahahaha! It's light blue and gold! They didn't include that!

Ugh, how annoying, LIR but fortunate you have a reason not to be there! Having said that my eye doctor (I can't spell the name today) seems to have forgotten about me, too. I was meant to have an appointment last month and silence...

Just got to post something which has made me feel like all the stress has been worth it. Youngest hasn't done any of his artwork for years after something happened at school (no idea what) and a week or so ago, he suddenly picked up his pencil and started again and this is one of the results....

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

What a lovely pic, Sue! He has real talent!

Lovely to see you dragonette, we are hear ready to listen whenever you wish to talk.

Well, life hates me. My headache stepped up a notch last night which resulted in me rocking and throwing up for a lot of it. Cluster headaches get far worse if you lie down, in fact standing up is the best option. So everytime I tried to sleep another wave of pain hit me. It finally stopped an hour ago so I went to bed, only to be disturbed before I had even slept by a knock on the door at 8am telling us that today is the day for the window replacement. Today? Really?!

So I am back up again and feeling like complete poo while waiting for the window removal and noise to start. Unfortunately WaSp had to move the car because they are also doing the roof and slates may fall on it or I really would have contemplated taking several duvets and hiding in there to sleep for a while, I would have been more closed in than I am about to be with 3 windows coming out. Unbelievable timing.
