  • Good morning all!

She says sounding much happier than she feels. I have had creeping cluster headaches for 2 days, today I woke up with a hammer hitting me over one eye so much so that I threw up. The nasal spray gets rid of it for a couple of hours and then it comes back. These things are painful and annoying. I see the neurologist again next month so at least he has a lot of information in my headache diary to work with. End of whine.

Well, my teacher friend has bought new bedding for his spare room for us for when we visit him in June and is very excited about it. I guess that means I'm going then? I hadn't actually confirmed I would be. Hmm.

Hahahaha! I will have to go now, he is so thrilled about it which is very sweet, we haven't met in person for years.

WaSp is hoping he needs some work done on his computer so that he has a purpose for a few hours and can escape. My teacher friend treats me very much as if I am still 13 in person (he buys me ice cream and cuddly toys!) and the last time we visited WaSp said he felt just like he was meeting his FIL which is something he never thought he would experience with me. He even got 'the talk' about taking care of me!

I still remember the look on WaSp's face when he walked into the living room and found that I had been tucked in under a blanket with a mug of hot chocolate and cookies as my teacher friend read me a story. Yes, really.

Personally, I loved being treated as a child for a while, to him I will always be the little girl that he rescued.

Not selfish at all elsien. Not at all. There comes a point when the end is a relief for everyone involved. Take care xx.

    Penguin responding to Elsien's.

Personally, if I were at death's door, it would make my last hours very sad to think that someone wasn't coming to see me because they 'wanted to remember me as I was'. I feel very sad for poorly relative, even if they are not aware of that reason.

And because we can never be sure how much even an unconscious person is aware of, or hearing, I feel that they should be visited more often, not less, so that if there is an awareness of who is there, then their last hours would be with people they know.

I can't bear the thought of anyone dying alone. I sat up for three days with my step-mother when she was dying, because I wanted her to know she wasn't alone, holding her hand, talking to her, putting scents under her nose, (they say that the sense of smell outlasts other senses), stroking her forehead etc. because I didn't want her to be alone when she went. And this was someone I had a terrible relationship with. But, at the end of the day, she was a human being about to die, and, as I don't want to be alone when I go, so I didn't want her to be, however exhausted I was. In the end it was the wee small hours, and if I hadn't been there, she would have been alone.

End of penguin. I hope it doesn't upset anyone; I feel so strongly about it. :(

There is nothing wrong with considering internet dating, tea! Some people meet the love of lives on there, just stay safe while you do so.

It isn't dating but I met my american friend online when she was 15, we have now met 6 times and are really close friends 15 years later who talk every day. You do have to be careful but you can meet some wonderful people online, for friendship or romance! (Look at everyone here, I love you all). There are dodgy people but for me at least, it's no different to meeting people in club or bar, some people you want to run from but most are just ordinary people who want to meet others. It is just the same online.

Aw, I am sure you looked great at the time, code! I used to use Geocities, too then I moved on to MSN. The messengers are slowly fading out though because most people use smart phones to chat through text now rather than PC's.

I 'met' a lady through playing internet Scrabble. We have become friends and every couple of months meet up and have a 'jaunt' somewhere, sometimes with another lady who my friend met whilst playing another internet game. I'm from the Midlands, my friend is from Yorkshire and the other lady is from Liverpool, so we tend to meet at the railway station of the place we are visiting.

I agree with WaS, it's a perfectly acceptable way to make friends.

I met my husband online! I was considering buying a specific car, and went on the car website, which at the time had a very funny chatroom. I think it was good because there were several other women on there - it was the women who were the funny ones, really!

It was always a nice place - I think because people actually met up with their cars (how sad is THAT!) and so it was always lighthearted and didn't get smutty!

One of the other women wanted to meet one of the lads on there, and asked me to go to one of the meets as a chaperone (because she was scared about meeting someone from tinernet). Mr JM (who we both knew from the site) was there and liked me.......:A

    Morning all :)

Hope you all have a good day, especially big hugs for elsien xx

Am out this morning, then trying to talk myself into a meet up thing this afternoon. Just a coffee and chat so can always do a runner if it's too scary lol. Met a couple of the people when I went to the theatre the other week. I know I'll be a bit annoyed with myself if I chicken out, so please think 'kick up the backside' thoughts for me :D

    Enjoy, hun! x

And more hugs for elsien ((((()))))

And for anyone else who would like one (get your hugs here!) (((((((())))))))

Hope WaS head is better this morning.

Spring cleaning the bedroom day today! Believe you me, I am not a natural housewife! I'm being driven to this, reluctantly. Perhaps just one episode of Better Call Saul first......
