If it helps, I've been known to jump straight back into dating after a relationship. You know your relationship with FOH is over and have known for some time so its not like you're cheating. It doesn't have to be about a search for another ltr, but meeting new people, flirting a bit and boosting your confidence.

As for the coming to terms thing - it is getting easier every day for me too. There are some days when I feel sad but more when I'm quite glad I don't have any.

That dress. I mostly see blue and gold, but have also seen white and gold and blue and black too.

Am really glad it's getting easier for you code. Feel free not to answer this if it's too personal (probably is lol) but do you think OH would ever consider the donor option?

There will always be times when it hurts (I'm looking at you mothers day!) but it's not the raw grief it was.

Plan A was get married and have babies. I don't know what Plan B will turn out to be - but I do know it won't be sitting around crying that Plan A didn't work out, that would just waste my life.

I can't see Mr Monkey ever being ok with the donor option, which is understandable. Plus, even if we went down that route, changes to the legislation mean that donors don't want to donate knowing that the results might show up at their door in 18 years time so there isn't a whole lot of raw material available anymore. And I don't think we're up for adoption either. I think I'd struggle with all the hoops you have to jump through for the birth family and not being able to do the normal stuff like allowing them to be in school photos or not allowing a photo of them with their cousins on social media. It'd never feel normal.

The thing I struggle with aside from Mothers Day, is being dumped by all my friends in favour of their 'mummy friends'. I know the other mothers provide a supoort network that I can't but its hurtful that I'm viewed as almost less than a person.

Sadly this is why I won't donate despite not wanting children.

I wonder if anyone can help me...is there anyone here who coaches or teaches? I might have to ask someone to leave my group and I'm not sure how :(

I was going to make some stupid comment about the dress pic, but i really can't be bothered with anything today - having a hate myself day today :(.

If any of you try the internet dating thing i'd be interested to know how it all goes - i should really give it ago myself, but i'm far too self critical to think anyone would be interested.
What came first, the music or the misery?
Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?
  • That dress ... it was white and gold on both of my monitors at work. When I got home, it came up white and gold on this monitor. I then turned on the big monitor as well which blanks the first one as Windows recalculates its desktop and window positioning then redrawing everything, and the dress reappeared as black and blue, on both monitors.

I'm absolutely certain my retinas didn't change in the three seconds the screen was blank, the screen didn't change either, the colour profile is the same, so I'm confused.

What I want to look at is if the source page is randomly sending different data, but I'm off for the weekend shortly and haven't got chance spend a load of time capturing TCP/IP packets and analyzing them!

So should I, but I don't because I overthink things and am ruthlessly honest when describing myself, then think "I can't say that" (or, on one occasion when I showed my draft version to a close friend she told me "you're supposed to be selling yourself here Mark, not trying to put people off!")

(((LSF))) hope things improve soon x.

Am realising just how scarily dependent my mood is on weather and hormones. Am practically giddy today, but fully expecting a rainy-progesterone slump any time.
