Does anyone else think Cinnamon is a great name for a sloth?

I am watching the great british sewing bee, whilst contemplating the dog bed cover that has been pinned ready to sew, and sitting in the dining room looking at me since about last June. It was on the list of jobs I was going to get done when I lost my job. Ah well, never mind.
I think that could be interesting to watch, i just hope its done informatively and not sensationally.

Thursdays for me is all about paranomal thursdays on Really :p Don't know why but i love this stuff

Big cuddle for tea lover this evening. I hope today has been a better day and the vacuum has not been on during any Calls.

Fwiw, my resident parent always chooses to come and talk to me just after the phone has rung.....surely its obvious that's when I will be on the phone. It makes me STEAMINGLY furious And that my privacy is being invaded. Similarly ATM RP is doing the late night dog widdle wee walk when here! and that's when fir and I talk on the phone! yet RP comes to my bedroom door and gives the dogs bedtime biscuits. Now.....with an absent partner, not all the stuff you say on the home is stuff you want a parent to over hear.....you know?

A huge issue in this whole point is not even about work space but about privacy and personal lines. I can feel fir's teeth grind when people ask him what his job is/what he does for a living. The short answer is boring, and incomplete, yet gives people a perception. I dislike the same question because people assume my no job now combined with brain fuzziness means I've always been a. Dozy, lazy mare. Far from the truth, ( though becoming truth of now sadly). We don't like to discuss, jobs, health, or various other things, yet my parameters elsewhere are a bit way off. My last hairdresser said he found it hilarious that ' you talk and act all posh, but...you have no filter on the bedroom grub do you?' (He liked to chat about his love life ) and my friends no not to ask me for opinions because I find it hard to sugar coat things. I shoot from the hip about what I see if I'm asked.

These are the sort of reasons I prefer to keep quite tight lines in my real life. I really like my cleaners, but I don't discuss work, the home business etc with them. They did no I had a bad health spell because they had more to do. Similarly, our social circles are quite disparate, no need to confuse the corporate lot with the musos, for example. They know different sides of us in the most part, and what we're comfortable sharing with these wider circle of friends ( as opposed to very close friends) is different.

I can really see why someone active and conversational might get in the way of discussing health.

I get it completely Lir. My mother used to use her keys to let herself into my house whenever she felt like it, didn't call to see if I was in or even knock first to see if I was in before using her keys.
Got thoroughly fed up one day and pointed out how embarrassed she'd be if she walked in and found me shagging on the settee. (Unlikely though that may be.) Didn't stop her completely, but it got the message part way through.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

Yeah, for had that conversation with RP a few times when RP went through a phase of pestering us when we were both in the bedroom. ( at times of day RP might not have thought inappropriate)

Fir. 'Rp, look, if we are both in the bedroom, do not disturb us, we might be having a nap or something, assume we aren't available and we'll deal with it later'

RP. ' oh, sorry, were you having a nap?'

    fir, ' no '

    RP 'oh, er, sorry'.

( this was after several of the same sort of ' please leave us alone' chats of a more subtle nature over several weeks). :o

Old person technophobe question ahoy! How do you just happen to get chatting to people? I had a colleague who was always dating people off Facebook - is it through interest groups, meeting pages, harassing random strangers? I only have comping FBI friends, no one I actually know or chat to online, so I've always wondered how these conversations get started.

:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

Good morning Team WaS. Not having a good day. Why did I step on the scales? I've gained almost a stone! I know I need to get my !!! back in the gym but I've had a cold in my chest for weeks that will not go away so I get breathless walking up the stairs at home, let alone running 5k. Plus I am in pain with my stupid face, my stupid arm and my stupid lower back and I have massive spots on my jawline and neck that you can see from space.

I'm fat, broken and disgusting. :(

    Hmmm, should I penguin this?

Hugs code. I've put on nearly a stone since Christmas - haven't dared weigh myself for over a week and have no doubt it will have gone up again. Did actually drag myself to the gym once this week but wasn't there long and felt sick afterwards! Also feel your pain with the spots - surely by mid-30s we shouldn't have to deal with this??

I hope you have some lovely weekend plans to look forward to xx.

ps - you are not fat, broken or disgusting!! You are amazing - trust me! :)
