Good to see you, LIR! I hope that things are going ok.

Yay! Milliefleur's gardener fixed her tv! She had clicked the wrong button on the remote. It is so much better now she has people around daily to ask for help. Double yay! WaSp has gone to buy me icecream. A lot of it. Icecream fixes everything.

I like that story, Pyxis. Funnily enough the woman in my mind is now smiling, I think both stories have made her happier.

Thanks WaS. Missing my online chums, but just very stretched in rl, and sleeping insane amounts. Had my blood tests this morning, which among other things will assess my mal nourishment ( ridiculous when you are not slim) and see how bad my absorption of so e stuff is ATM. It might be some jabs help me find my grit. :)

Fir is going away for an overnight stay next month and I am alone through the week for the month. I've decided not to have friends that weekend because not up to it strength wise alone. But fir is fussing that being alone for so long with little support for practical stuff might be a poor idea and if friends come as well and being fun they might help. Pfft, I think I'll just sleep. If its warm enough I'll nap in the garden. :) It is a bit of a shame though, I cannot remember last time I had a weekend for myself!

    Woman fell over possibility.

Actually. She'd been a bit of a meanie recently at home. Stress maybe, life. New year drop. Realising life isn't a story book. Her partner has been getting the sharp side of her tongue and she's been seeing the faults more easily than the good qualities in him.

When she got home later she complains she fell and has torn her tights/ trousers a little and he says
'Never mind the trousers, what about you'

Its just a scratch, but those were my really use ful trousers, you. Just never understand how hard it is to replace things like that, like when you washed my jumper on the hot wash'

He says, you just don't understand YOU are irreplaceable.

He gets her a glass of wine, and a bag of peas for her knee and says, look, I know things are troubling you. I want to be here for you when you want to talk. Sit there, you're bath is running, what do you want for supper, I want you to rest that leg...til later ;)

She looks at him and remembers that the divide between them has been caused by her, not him, and that she feels loved and loves him. That who ever she was in a relation ship with she would have fallen today, the month would still be February and she'd still be another year older and no wiser. She is thank ful for the little tumble that made her remember she is happier than she realised with her life.

Morning all. I am about to be energetic and walk Gitdog round the lake, the ulterior motive being that he'll let me get some work done. I'd planned ro go earlier for the dawn chorus, but although awake, couldn't drag my bum out of bed.

  • Having a bit of a weird dichotomy today. (Ooooo, that's a good word for a Friday!)

On paper, life should be good. I have an OH who loves me, a reasonable job, my lovely mum, a very cute dog and newt, a fair amount of health, a roof over my head, great hobbies and food on the table.

But I am really dissatisfied at the moment. I'm doing more work than my job pays me for, at a higher level than I should be, yet apparently there's no money to promote me and I'm painting myself into a corner with my skill set. OH has never been the marrying type, but I'd love to get married even if I don't want children or to change my name. My hobbies keep giving me drama as well as joy. And I'm fat, old, and certainly not where I thought I'd be in life.

And worrying about all this is giving me a bad stomach!

Sorry to ramble. But I'm finding it hard to be content at the moment, which in turn is making me feel selfish because I have more good things than a lot of people :(

(Team WaS, you may need a new HBS. This one is broken :'( )
