    WaS, nobody hates you. We're Team WaS! We should get tshirts.

    This is another time I wish I could draw!

    Yes! T-shirts with a Team Was logo, like a coat of arms, with a pug rampant on one side and a penguin rampant on the other, both supporting a shield.

    On top of the shield is a W that looks a bit like a crown.

    The shield is divided into four, and the quadrants contain a blanket, a laptop, an open, empty cupboard (of non-doom! - to demonstrate overcoming the odds) and a diary (of WaS's life and experiences! And reminiscent of this thread, so possibly with some thread entwining it!)

    Underneath the shield is an open 'scroll' saying, in Latin "We all need to be heard for a little while" - my Latin's not good enough to attempt a translation!

    On the T-shirt, over the top of the coat of arms is "TEAM WAS"

    Look! I found a pug rampant!

    This is the closest I could get to a penguin rampant!

    If his right flipper were pointing forward, it would be correct!

    I put the motto through a Latin translator and got this, but although it looks good to me, I don't know if it's correct. There doesn't seem to be a 'need' but then the ad audiendum may imply a need.

    Nos omnes ad audiendum parumper

    Sounds good!
    Nos= we
    Omnes= all
    Ad audiendum = for the being heard of (?need implied?)
    Parumper= a little while

    There you are , WaS! I bet you've never had your own personal Latin motto before! :D

  • Awww, I haven't! That's so sweet, made me grin! This thread cheers me up so much, I can't stay in a mess when I can come here and be with everyone.

    The workman have gone home and we still don't have new windows. I shall see what happens tomorrow. The car is back from hospital so at least I know that I can flee if I need to from now on. That is reassuring in itself.

    Pyxis, did you ever track down banana bread beer? I am contemplating having a glass, it's yummy!

    Oh no, I didn't! None of the supermarkets I go to have it, and I even went to an independent place, but they didn't either!

    Which shop did you say you get yours from?

  • We get it from Asda! It's by Wells, it has a lovely banana aftertaste. I don't know if you ever do online shopping but it's on Asda's site (you could always just order 25 bottles to make up the price of an order, you won't regret it).

    Can i be cheeky and pick the brains of anyone doing the 5:2 diet?

    Have decided i want to give it a proper crack this time (seeing as i'm no longer with someone who accepted me at the size i am and i feel like i need to lose some weight for myself and to make myself feel better) but wondering what kind of meals you eat on fast days?

  • Personally I don't eat at all until as late as I can bear (6pm earliest, but nowadays it is normally 8pm.) Then I have what is known in this house as 'cat food' - one of these. http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/shopping/findproducts.aspx?query=john%20west%20tuna or similar - or one of these http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/Shopping/FindProducts.aspx?Query=innocent+pot&Store=Tesco

    Some of the cat food varieties are only 250 cals, so theoretically you could have one for lunch and another for supper. However, I am VERY used to not eating until late, now.

    We are good in this house and don't have any sugar or fruit on fast days. However, friends use their Nutribullet, and make themselves smoothies with fruit - they tell us that they add seeds and stuff and that helps to keep them feeling full.
