I have had Sentinel card for years - they tell me since at least 1997. I wrote and asked Barclaycard how I could claim as per the Sentinel current claim. They rang the next day to advise that they had calculated the refund to be £327 and would credit my Barclays account immediately!
  • I took out Sentinel Gold protection myself, many years ago up to the present, and almost cetainly subscribed directly from the start, paying annually by direct debit. Does this reclaim scheme apply to such a client?, as obviouysly my payments were self induced?

me too, since 1994. £300 from Barclays, rest under the AI scheme in due course
  • I also have a renewal letter for the end of July and don't know whether I should renew automatically, and what affect that may have on my claim. Will I be exempt from my claim because I took it out again knowing about the reclaim? What did you do?

I renewed this year too. No problem, you can still claim
  • My renewal is due 27/9/15. Should I pay this or not?

I had a joint credit card Sentinel card policy , through Nat West bank with my ex husband. This went on for many years but I do not have any of the paperwork. I do however still bank at the same branch of Nat West but have moved house. My ex has moved overseas and no longer has a Nat West account after failing to repay various outstanding amounts.

Is there is any way in which I could claim recompense for mis-selling?
    something missing
  • I wasn't sure if this was some sort of scam. I only binned this a few days ago.

We took out this insurance way back in the 1990's. We closed our Barclay card accounts around 2007 and cancelled the Sentinal. I don't know exactly how long we were with them for. Can I get another claim form?
  • I am making a claim on behalf of my parents. My dad has dementia and my mum is clueless as it was my dad that used do deal with all the money stuff. They took the insurance out through Lloyds but I don't know when or the reason they took it so I'm not sure what to put on the form. Can anyone help?
  • I am ready to complete my form but have no idea which Template to use, i.e.: £100,000 AFTER informing AI, OR £50,000 BEFORE informing AI. As I have no idea which one I took out and the helpline I called said they couldn't tell me that (although they were able to tell me exactly which Bank I took the insurance out with and for how long I paid - which was very useful!
Do you think you could use both templates and say Either/Or????
