Over the years I have been to
a McDs and there were no milkshakes or McFlurries
another McDs and no eggs for breakfast. In those days could only offer the sausage and pancakes, pancakes and syrup and bacon roll.
. KFC offering no burgers or wraps as had no buns or wrapss.
My friend who is a manager of a coffee chain place runs out of milk about once every 10 days and she actually goes to Tesco Express next door to buy some milk. As without milk, she can just serve expresso and black Americanos plus the drinks in the chiller like juice, sparkling water etc. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. They wouldn't do that. These sort of places have a very high level of food hygiene. I think after 20 minutes a burger that hasn't been bought yet is just thrown away.
That is correct in principle, but in practice it doesn't always happen....
When I did time years ago they tended to cook burgers for "expected volume" and sometimes we would not meet that volume of customers for the hour. This meant that a lot of burgers needed chucking out. The managers weren't happy with this amount of waste, so it was either a case of cooking less (inconveniencing customers/drive thru) or keeping burgers in there for up to 60 minutes.
The only upside to that was that we could over cook in the last hour and then help ourselves to the burgers which had not been sold during business hours. A nice little evening meal to prep us up for the 2 hour cleaning session.
Little tip though, if you want a fresh burger and don't mind waiting then put in a request for something like "burger with no pickle". They cook you a fresh one without a pickle (most of the time, the dodgy ones will simply remove a pickle from a cooked one.0 -
Disappointed that the MSE team would even consider going to a fast food outlet in the first place, surely they take sandwiches in for their lunch
Many of the team do - there are over 80 of us now! You should see the size of the office fridge - it's usually stacked full of packed lunches!
That's one for our instagram and pinterest I reckonCould you do with a Money Makeover?

Went to Tesco cafe for breakfast to be told once that they had run out of bread for the toast. I was startled. I pointed them in the direction of aisle 9 but due to supply chain and ordering, they simply couldn't grab a loaf off the shop floor.0

I went into the Burger King in Wimbledon absolutely starving. There were two serving and a queue of five in front of me. Ten minutes later (and ten minutes is a long time in a fast food place) only two had been served and the queue behind me had built up. Another five minutes and only one more had been served so I walked out. I'll never ever go there again.0

I once asked in McDonalds for a bacon roll with nothing on(meaning sauce) i got a dry roll.Exile_geordie wrote: »so what you have done is asked for one thing but meant something else and are moaning about it?
Just reminded me that a friend of mine worked in the local motorway services when he left school, many years ago. Customer asked for a large egg and chips. So my mate made him a large egg, 1 yoke, about a dozen whites. It was the size of the plate. This customer moaned too. No pleasing some people.:)0
