Burger King - "No Fries, No Snacks, No Chicken!"

A few of us went to a Burger King close to MSE Towers, but when we got there, they said that they run out of Fries, ‘Snacks’ and Chicken.

Their response to the complaint was that they had a new Fry Suite fitted in one of their busier outlets and they rather stay open and offer what they could to customers than stay closed and offer nothing. So they missed out on the busy lunch time rush.

Their only apology was to do with misinformation by the staff.

Have anyone had similar experiences with a restaurant or a fast food outlet?

I worked in one (BK) for two years while younger and at college, once or twice we ran out of fries and once we even ran out of burgers!

Again, we stayed open to offer what we could. Most customers took it in good grace as it was a breakdown to our delivery truck in the morning that meant we didn't have what we should have.

Whenever I go to the M&S Cafe, they never have the entire hot food menu available.

Yesterday I went there, and they had run out of everything except for Lasagne, which is their most expensive dish.

I must write to complain.

I feel sorry for the staff who are left to manage with a piece of paper to cross off the available servings as they are ordered.

It could have been worse Nathan, imagine if you'd gone to the pub and they'd run out of beer.

In McDonalds in Cork on holiday, once, I ordered my wife a veggie burger, returned to our table with it, she opened it to find a bap and lettuce....I returned to the counter where the staff informed me they don't have any actual veggie burgers, they just give people lettuce baps

I went to a McDonalds in New York back in 2007 and asked for the vegetarian options. I got offered chicken!

However, on the flip side, I got a free hot chocolate from Pret because they didn't have any whipped cream that day

We used to sell "salad filled rolls" which was essentially a Whopper Jr without the hamburger patty.

Disappointed that the MSE team would even consider going to a fast food outlet in the first place, surely they take sandwiches in for their lunch

The Burger King inside the old Birmingham New Street station used to run out of burgers on a regular basis during the weekend. I really miss that Burger King!

The pub I worked in when I was a student would run out of 50 per cent of the menu towards the end of a Bank Holiday weekend. The day we ran out of coke and chips seemed to really upset the customers.

There's only one thing worse than Maccy D's running out of food is Maccy D's NOT running out.
