That's one for our instagram and pinterest I reckon
By the way there are loads of different vouchers in th eapp, just that is the most MSE compared to RRP0 -
Went to KFC in Stoke at 7pm once. Was told that they had no chicken for sale, no fries and only drinks were available. The man without a signature.0

Their response to the complaint was that they had a new Fry Suite fitted in one of their busier outlets and they rather stay open and offer what they could to customers than stay closed and offer nothing. So they missed out on the busy lunch time rush.
Their only apology was to do with misinformation by the staff.
Have anyone had similar experiences with a restaurant or a fast food outlet?
Subway lady, with her "sample cup o' meatballs", to name but one.
Some outlets are very popular, well-located and more-frequented than others. Hence they can occasionally run out of stock beyond what would be expected in branches elsewhere. No franchise outlets are immune to this.
Perhaps you saved a poor chicken's life that day, Nathan...
More to the point - who has managed to successfully hack into the MSE servers and post such illegible and spurious nonsense?!0 -
Tesco outsources a lot of things. Even some of the stores are leased! They build stores then sell them to a company that leases them back to Tesco. It freed up a lot of cash for expansion (and made the books look better).
I think those days are numbered. They're closing 43 stores and I bet there's more to come. Their big stores are too big, hold too many items and that's why they're having problems.0 -
It could have been worse Nathan, imagine if you'd gone to the pub and they'd run out of beer.

They asked for a bacon roll with nothing on - so they were expecting a roll AND bacon. How can a "bacon roll" be interpreted as a dry roll? Do they sell dry "bacon flavoured" rolls?
Anyone with half a brain would realise that "with nothing on" implies nothing "extra". Indeed, if you were to say a " bacon roll" then it should be obvious that you require at the minimum a roll and some bacon, otherwise you'd just ask for a roll.0 -
Tesco and Asda in-store cafes are hopeless. Yes, they often run out of stuff and yes, they won't go on the shop floor to buy it. Tesco often have a very poor range of food anyway. Nothing cooked to order, you just have to pick what's on the hot counter. We've stopped even trying to eat there. No surprise that they're hardly ever busy. What a waste of valuable space and loss of profit potential.
Morrisons are on a different level. We've bee in many stores and they're often packed at lunchtimes with a very wide ranging menu, and we've never been told they've run out of anything at all. Everything cooked to order - they don't have hot counters. And cheap too!
Never tried Sainsburys.
We've found McDonalds have often run out of apple pies and their ice cream machines are often out of order - not just one branch, but experienced it many times all over the country.0 -

How many times does this has to be said? It's not they won't, it's they CAN'T!.
It is not a privately run shop/restaurant where they can source the stock willy nilly. I don't work in one & even I understand that. I'm not sure why some people have so many problems understanding how large companies are not ran like a small private business?0 -
I worked in a bar two world cups ago (2010?) which had a massive cinema screen and was at capacity during an England match with 700 punters. The only draught lager we sold was Carling and Carlsberg, and we ran out of both about a third of the way through the match. Somebody had forgotten to place the order, and we didn't allow glass during the match so everyone had to make do with bottled lager being poured as quickly as possible into a plastic cup...
Anyway, the projector then broke about two thirds of the way through the match. Safe to say nobody came back for the next game!0
