  • plenty of ammunition then.
As said nefore i would draft a letter tonight, take it to them tomorrow and tell them that you've sent is special delivery as well so they can't say they did not receive it at a later stage...
  • BTW,

How do these new debit cards look?

I have a card for my flexible saver passbook account. It is all red with the abbey logo. It expires in 2010. I hope they are not sending me a new one after all the trouble everyone has had!!!
  • I havnt had a card with my saver account, all I have got is my book I was given the day I opened the account.I think someone has cocked up somewhere, I opened it when they were changing the computer system over on my old savings account I had one of the red ones with the abbey logo.
  • When did you open the savings account?

Also is it the one where you pay 20 quid or more a month into the account?

I opened it in May.No there is no minimum deposit each month.I opened it for convenience, I wanted to link it to my current account on line so I could transfer money into it without going into branch.I have extra "bits" of money going into my current account every couple of days and I wanted to transfer these.
  • returned from vacation and I had a compensation cheque for £80 in post from Abbey after I sent email complaint to both Abbey and Santander web sites.

Might have been better if you returned it and said it was not enough .

any news on this issue supersaval?
  • I just found this forum and I can't believe so many people have had problems. I'm still without my card which expired on 31/07.
I have called the call center numerous times and have been offered one excuse after another. I have now taken the matter up with my local branch manager and am putting a formal complaint in writing.
It has been extremely inconvenient as this is my only current account and I need to use the card an a daily basis.
The frustrating thing is no one seems to know how to resolve the problem and no one wants to take responsibilty for it. I am seriously considering changing my bank if this doesn't get resolved within the next couple of weeks.

If you search back you'll find the address of the Complaints Section in one of my posts .I think it's in Milton Keynes .
