does anyone know if the lost address issue only affects the card dept or have they cocked up mailing addresses on account details?

well seeing as mine went to an old address I wouldn't be surprised regarding anything now
  • Got my card Friday! Will have to wait about 2 weeks to register for online banking & about a week for telephone banking. Had no response from my letter or phone calls, should i call them again to see where it's at?
  • Just to add to the list, my wifes card expired at the end of June. Despite repeated chasing we still don't have a card, we can't access her online account etc.

We are at our wits end. What do you do when the bank continue to lie to you. It is incredible really and I'm amazed it has not reached the papers.

She has also been given abuse at the branch when she has gone in to get cash. Clearly the staff know nothing either and are having to deal with loads of disgruntled people. They are therefore irritated and take it out on the customers. We are leaving - of that there is no doubt. We just want to get any compensation that is going first and ensure that others are aware of the circumstances.

And to think they used to be a good bank.

    Cheers,

PS Martin - where are you on this? It's an outrage and you have a voice and can do something about it.

You have my sympathy. I've had no card for over a month.

Am disappointed that Radio 4's Money Box didn't mention it on Saturday.

I've also now tried writing to the head of Media Relations at Abbey as well as the Ombudsman and the FSA.

This has really p****d me off and I'd like to get to the bottom of it all.

We all must stick together, whether we have our cards or not. If nothing gets done and Abbey doesn't issue an apoligy, and by that I mean a letter to each and every person effected by this then Abbey will have got off scot free
