But homosexuals in my home city of Manchester are apparently not happy to drink with and/or socialise with others hence their contrivance of a gay village.

You say apparently. So how many gay people do you know & how many have you asked?

By the way I'm gay & have friends who live in Manchester. I don't know anyone who can relate to what you've said so that's why I'm asking you.

Just out of interested do you know that around 98% of the time when gay people go out it will to be to places which aren't classed as gay bars/clubs? So basically how do you know (or think) that gay people in Manchester will only go out to the gay village area?

It's not like straight people aren't allowed. I went there once with a friend (both straight, both male) and the bouncer obviously spotted that and said "you won't be causing any trouble will you lads?"
You mean he questioned your intentions based solely on your gender and sexuality?

Although I have no issues with homosexuality and have several friends who are gay that is just a slogan which doesn't really prove anything.

There is no proof that homophobia is simply a human trait.

Are you serious? To be honest that has to be one of the most stupid counter arguments I've read ever.

Homophobia is taught. Who teaches dogs that then?

If Homophobia is taught then who taught the first person to be homophobic?

Its not taught at all, some people can't cope with people who are different to themselves and as such discriminate against them. They don't have to be taught to do this they just do it.

Its sadly the way of the world that majorities often pick on minorities. Its the pack mentality

No it doesn't. I am not sure if you know what "taught" means ;)

I know exactly what it means. Someone will have lead the majority to do that. Someone as some point would have decided it's something to pick on.
