  • Morning everyone, feeling very pleased with myself today, went to the bank last night, only to see I was over drawn on my over draft, and worse still i'd been trying to pay it off on my own, but the charges they had added meant they'd swallowed £70 off me!! However, went online first thing this morning and onto web chat. I feel its easier typing than speaking somehow, got them to remove all charges plus some more, devised a payment plan with them, with promise of no more charges and o/d will be gone by the time i'm 40 in July, so I will approach 40 totally debt free :) Can't explain the relief i'm feeling right now :) It really does pay to talk!

    Ok onto todays list,

Kitchen and Dining Room done apart from floors (just enjoying cuppa first) and made a start on the dreaded utility. Decluttered (which was mainly ironing) one side and give a thorough clean and now just need to do the dreaded other side, not been touched since Christmas! Have found a box of unwanted chocs (orange cremes, strawberry cremes and coconuts of all different makes) yuk! these will go to SIL on Thursday as they are her favourites :)

Another quiet job day again today as hubby still off side (i'm desperate to hoover lounge) but does mean i'm pottering more and getting more done, every cloud eh!
Loving life to the full, just need purse full too :)

Well done rubies, great your kicking the overdraft!

I spoke again with boss man yesterday and said I can't be working on Thu/Fri all the time, he was very supportive and asked me to help interview our new recruit - we have 5 shortlisted - and they can provide cover for my bits and bobs at the back end of the week :T the mad rush has abated for now so hopefully we'll have someone in role before it all picks up again.

I will at some point need to pull my desk out. It's wobbling so looks like the legs need some attention (is a corner desk with 5 legs). Will have to wait till a none working day.

Littlies away to school - barely in time - they had to be shouted up at 7.40 this morning. Breakfast stuff washed up and WM is going with spare room bedding.

MIL has taken DS window blind and is covering it in new fabric - he doesn't like spiderman any more - part of his birthday treat is a mini room make over (no painting, just new accessories). Must find him some new bedding actually...

Must get on with paid stuff...

    Morning all.

Minerva - congratulations to your OH

Its freezing here today and I've decided not to go for my long walk, plus I was going to Mr M and I don't have room in my freezer for anything else! I'll head over to the park for a short one later (might even take my camera with me instead of just using my phone), but for now I've got the WM on, I've done the dusting in the livingroom, the majority of the dailies (just dishes to do but I'm waiting until after lunch to do them as there's hardly any), and I'm catching up on my cookery programmes recordings while doing email etc :D

Week: Gas man coming to fix fire surround I think.
Wed: DD Exams start, HT 3pm for the first time since November!
    Thu: Order c4
Fri: Exams finish, pizza takeaway for tea ;) Clean livingroom
    Weekend: Ex here Sunday.

    Misc:
    Laundry
    Toots list
Clear 3 folders on hard drive back to laptop
    Update finances
Pay CC & any other bills
Work through folder of magazine articles I've pulled
Type up recipes to keep & file them, chuck originals (magazine pages usually ;))
    Walk 8.1 miles minimum - I'm on target 19/365 so far ;)

Washing is now in the drier which will warm the kitchen up so I can fly out there later, my laptop is doing its virus check as it hasn't done one this year yet, and I have a hot coffee for a change

Morning all - I know it's way past morning for many of you, but like Lonewolf I'm bordering on the nocturnal and really struggle in the mornings. Usually Mr N is up and out by 7.30 but at the moment obviously not. My flying so far has been wildlife-related:
    - still only -2 when I went down to feed horse at 9.30 although he was happy outside in the sun. Saw a lovely frost-coloured heron sitting on the frost which would have made a lovely photo if I'd had my camera.
    - fed and watered birds. Although they use the feeder a lot, the blue tits are now investigating the catkins on the purple hazel outside the kitchen window, seeds or insects maybe? And the few remaining rose hips too.

I'm off to uni at 12.30 so enough time to walk with Mr N if he wants to brave the cold, and/or continue logging my CPD.

    Keep warm everyone.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.
  • Morning All :hello:

Still got DD3 off sick. We whizzed to the Drs first thing, she's got nasty ear infections. So ABs and drops for her.
OH is working away this week, so I feel a bit aimless. Trying to work on the lists, but feeling very tired at the moment.
Still, I had a quick whizz & wipe around the LR yesterday, so I'm keeping on top of it.
Time to try and pull my finger out.

    HHC anyone? 11.35-12.05
