Well, I had DD2 off school yesterday, just run down and lack of sleep even though she went to bed early and it was DD1's day off so they both worked hard in their room so it's now looking pretty good.
I still have to take the black sacks of clothes (now 3 of them) to be weighed in, both places were shut yesterday.

If we can't sort this without resorting to the GP, I'll get him to ask when he goes for his next meds review, which will be due in April. Unfortunately GP appointments are like hens' teeth at our surgery; plus we don't relish the idea of yet more tablets, for either of us. But it's an option we're keeping in reserve. It's only got really bad since he was in the horse-piddle for four nights last September; I'm wondering if he's somehow re-living the experience.:(
Fingers crossed for the ideas suggested working for you.MMSSB Club Founder Member

Well done on tackling the bank about the overdraft Rubies, and how lovely to know it'll be gone by your birthday!
Welcome Einslcean! Lovely to have you on board.
Healing vibes Dusty. That sounds painful. Our bird feeders at the chalet ended up on the ground - I'm holding the local Squirrel !!!!! responsible.
Lamewolf, he's asleep when he's doing it, so he's not responsible. I think if it continues (or has been going on for some time) Sarah Shattered's advice is an excellent idea and totally appropriate.
Yorkshire Lass - with two loos here and empty loo roll middles always rolling around on both floors I decided against a loo roll holder on the walls. Upstairs the current one nests on the laundry basket and downstairs a pile of loo rolls live in a wire rubbish bin, which looks rather classy. The middles now get thrown away by everyone. I think some people have a problem working out how wall-mounted holders actually work. Which makes them a bit sad, but there you go.
Busy, busy morning. Some GUAG has sneaked back into my system and allowed me to tackle various things that I wanted to do including finding stuff that I was so sick of looking for. Eventually I just wrote a list of everything missing and shoved it in the TDTDT. (For those that haven't got one yet, I'd seriously suggest having one - Too Difficult To Do Tray. It sounds a bit frog-spawnish but amazingly, once things are written on a list, put in the tray and I've 'let go,' somehow they lose their mojo and turn up.
OH dropped off at the station, CS stuff dumped, several CS tops purchased for the cold weather for less than the price of one new one from M&S which doesn't have anything I like anyway this season, whoopsied cauliflower and blue cheese soup made and scoffed (fab), dog walked twice, medicated and fed. Market visited for veg, crab claws for supper tomorrow night, free-range eggs (literally half the price of the supermarket FR eggs *kerching*), another sack of sunflower hearts, blackbird worms and dog food bought, plus two really lovely glass serving dishes bought from the CS shop after a lot of umming and ahhing. I've scrubbed the coloured carp off one of the with the green scratchy side of a kitchen sponge so all I need now is to unearth one of the last two bri110 pads I've got lurking somewhere to get rid of the transfer outlines. Lovely shaped dish, carp decoration. Slightly worrying I have more energy when OH isn't around.
I might do the oven later.Better is good enough.0 -
Afternoon all
LW - glad to hear last night was better.
I've spent the day reading up on earning money through various other sources, doing surveys (one said "20 minutes", 10minutes later I was still only 4% of the way through! I scrapped that one as they couldn't even seem to write the questions correctly), cleared all the laundry except towels and cleaning cloths which I'll do tomorrow to warm the kitchen upThen I started fighting with my printer but I think I need to accept that I need to buy ink now. Shopping around for the cheapest is an eye opener, prices range from £43 (online river
) to £60 in WH5iths  Annoyingly I go through ink fast, but I daren't use a compatible one after what happened to my last printer when I swapped
I've updated my finances, but I'll pay the bills tomorrow. I'm not 100% sure I've got all the shopping spends in and they should all be showing tomorrowAlso tomorrow I need to go to the bank to pay in a cheque, but I may leave it as the forecast is snow!
Plan for this evening is to make tea (DD wants tomato sausage and just tomato sausage :rotfl:), wash up, then go for a walk later if the forecasted snow arrivesWe don't normally go out in that sort of weather, but it might be the only decent snow we get this year so we're going to make the most of it. Hoping it'll also help DD wind down before she goes to bed as she has her first exam tomorrow and is currently complaining of brain flahhh
Off to get tea out the freezer for DD. Will quickly fly in the kitchen later:wave:
Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
OK ladies tell me something. You go to the loo, the toilet paper has run out. You get a new roll out of the cupboard and when you are done with it do you take the empty roll out and replace it with the new one? No, you just put it on the floor and leave it there. Why? For ****s sake - is this too menial a task for the rest of my family or do they just think thats what I was put on this earth for???
I think its classed as 'passing the buck' with a stroke of laziness. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

dustyThank you! I survived, although spent the afternoon free lesson sitting near the radiator doing nothing but resting.
Judi I like your plan for the day:D
YorkshirelassFellow sufferer here. I'll match you and raise you recyclable tins, bottles and packets that are left on the worktop. About three paces from the recycling basket
i did the kitchen yesterday, but am too tired to tackle the livingroom. I'll do it tomorrow afternoon and Thursday. It's not too horrendous anyway. Although am slightly puzzled why DS1 and DD still have large bags of Christmas presents here, which I am refusing to move.
Boddy Are you feeling better now?It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
nicki, I get my ink cartridges off ebay, origins ones , not refill or compatable, not yet had a problem and loads cheaper.
