Aarrgh - struggling today (no sleep AGAIN) so I thought I'd use the "official" list today to see if I can make some sense of the bungalow.
Mushy Monday ~ Living room and other reception rooms!
15 minutes...
Declutter and vacuum floors Done.
Wipe sofas and wash any smelly soft furnishings/nets Done; soft furnishings are fine (dog hairs vacuumed off), and we don't have nets cos I can't abide them.
30 minutes to go...
Dust all electrical appliances and polish screens Will do screens in a bit;)
Wipe and water plants, don't do what I did last week and realised I hadn't watered for 2 weeks and I had very thirsty plantsN/A, I have no indoor plants
15 minutes filing and 15 minutes deleting rubbish off the computer.. useless emails, old files, updating spreadsheets etc N/A - it's all up to date (checked yesterday)
Got an hour...
Sort through a bookshelf.. a different one to the last time you did it! Bookshelves are fine; but I checked the kitchen cupboards for tidiness, and moved some stuff through from the store crates, instead.
Make any important phonecalls you have been putting off N/A - I don't do phones
Vacuum under furniture you can move safely, if you are injured, pregnant or a new mum then get delegate someone else to do this for you.. Done the Saturday before last - I got Mr LW to move all the furniture after Ronnie's visit. Have done a Dys0n Tango without moving furniture today, though.
Extras
- Check smoke alarms and if needed change batteries to new ones.. Done yesterday (weekly check)
- Clean out pets N/A - Dogless at present.
Have cleaned and refilled bird feeders though, and ensured they have fresh water
- Deflea pets N/A
- Clear mantle of junk, wipe/polish and return all pretty things.. Only thing on my mantle is two Dragon/Wizard ornaments.
- Empty and wash out any bins Done
I have to get the sleep issues sorted. Basically, I'm naturally nocturnal; and these days it's made worse by Mr LW snoring, fidgeting, and with increasing frequency lashing out and hitting me while he's asleep; it's like he's dreaming he's beating the carp out of someone because it's not just one thump, it's four or five, bam, bam, bam, bam, bam, hard on my arm with a clenched fist, but in the morning he remembers nothing about it.:( We don't have a spare bed, so I can't decamp to the spare room for a break (and even if we did, he'd be upset if I did that) so I don't really know what to do now.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW .. can you swap sides of the bed for a bit? Or get one of the long body pillows to go between you both? You'll end up broken!!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0
