I was just going to type "it's trying to snow" turned round to check out the window and it is now snowing
Airer emptied, DW been on, now emptied and loaded with the odds I couldn't fit in before.
Chicken out of the freezer for dinner, hidden in the microwave away from the cats
Front door inside mat in the WM, I need to wash the hall floor (laminate) but I'll do that after I've hoovered the landing and stairs which will be done after I've found my bedroom floor(give me a break though, my room's only 10 x 10 so there isn't actually much space in there!) as that needs hoovering too. That will all be done once I've attempted to fix my bedroom blind with the aid of duck tape and matches, Blue Peter eat your heart out
Which will be done as soon as I've fed the chameleon so I'm off . . .
BTW snows stopped :j0 -
Well we are officially snowed in, all kiddies off work and school
Lots of cars and lorries stuck outside our house, we live on a country lane, goodness knows why they were there! Anycase lots of hot drinks taken to stranded people outside, which were very much appreciated, have a feeling i'll be making a lot today!
Homemade waffles for breakfast as a treat, and now onto the list.
Our front door opens directly into our dining room which was done yesterday, and you have to walk through our conservatory to get to back door, and into porch, so going to make conservatory and porch my jobs today. No point mopping until late tonight as I imagine we'll have a lot of snowy footprints in and out
Have fun everyone, and if you've got kiddies at home with you, enjoy them and make some precious memories, I know I willLoving life to the full, just need purse full too

Seems like a fair few of you have snow; down here we don't have anything and I didn't even have to scrape the car to go to the GP for my 7.30 appointment so that was good!
Been eating/chewing frogs - is that right? Stuff I've been putting off for ages. Took my tax return to the post office to send off and just splurged and bought a Twirl to have with my coffee; I really live such an exciting life!
Anyone fancy a HHC at 11.15? DH may be home this afternoon and we can walk the dogs together so thought I'd get the housework out of the way first.
Pigpen I'm sure you know about it, but have you discovered Ravelry? I know you enjoy knitting and I'm rediscovering my love of it too as something relaxing to do. If you don't already know about it or if any other knitters don't know about it then check it out. Be warned though - people sell yarn on there and someone I could mention has spent a bit more than she should really but got some good bargains :whistle:Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Gasman has bricked up what he needed and now he needs to leave it until tomorrow to set so he'll be back about 11 tomorrow. I told him about the boiler loosing pressure still and he's struggling to find the cause
As far as we can tell there's no leaks from the central heating part of the system so why it keeps loosing pressure is a mystery.
Any ways, I decided to fly in the kitchen while he was busy working in the livingroom so just the floors to do nowNot worth doing todays list just yet, its raining and the skips are still outside so there's still muck everywhere.

... otherwise I'd order some for you next time.
Nothing against Lancashire, its just we don't want to live there
Thank you for thinking of me - I've found a wool shop in Exeter that stocks it, so I'll work in a visit up there.
My father came from Lancashire but I've only ever been there once, when I was a nipper. There is a photograph of me sitting on the beach crying, which I remember because I was very cold, wearing a bobbly yellow swimsuit - the photograph is actually black and white! I'm sure it's a lovely place.YORKSHIRELASS wrote: »I have realised that one of the reasons I find it hard to motivate myself to work is that my little corner of the office is very messy.
So true. Despite sacrificing my lovely empty cupboard shelves I still have two boxes lurking on the floor. I have started to loathe them and haven't been able to make myself actually do any real work in my office since before Christmas.mrs-moneypenny wrote: »... hopefully I'll have a bit more time to ad and join in and not just post and run soon.
As long as you're okay, that's the most important thing.
Safe driving and keeping warm vibes for everyone, snow or no snow. The forecast here is dry but there's no wind so it's still soggy and cold out there. Washing shuffled all over the place, several loads through the machine and more to go through just rinsing and spinning. I will clear this wretched backlog.
Stairs done, kitchen starting to look sorted - it's not, but it's starting to look it. It's a start.Better is good enough.0 -
I was born and brought up in Lancashire but got transplanted in my mid-teens.
Have dug out the Vallimobile as I fully expect to be aiming to get to work tomorrow. Jacket spud nuked for 5 mins then put in top oven to finish off.
Couple of frogs munched (buttons sewn back on)
Ironed washing put away.
Sugar free jellies made for work lunches (from sachet -OOD June 2014 - waste not want not and all that!)Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Rubies, enjoy being snowed in, I'd love that.
Cake baked, just needs icing in a bit, washing up done. Bottom half of baking cupboard emptied, wiped and some solid icing from the summer binned (not been doing well on the get rid of something a day challenge so this helps get me back on tract). Leaving cupboard to fully air dry before anything goes back in and I still need to empty the top.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

Can I ask a question - what are your OH's/family's/other people you live with's involvement in the flying? I ask because as I've mentioned previously we have a housemate, and thinking of today's 15 minute task a lot of the clutter in our hallway is his (eg coats hung on the vacuum cleaner), but I feel a bit awkward asking him to tidy up after himself because it's his home too. I don't mind things like clearing up his plates/glasses left in the lounge because they're all communal, and I'm quite happy to let him deal with his own room as he sees fit, but there's something about asking him to move his stuff that just feels like it's too much (even though I think he would do it if I asked)."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0
