  • Oh dear sounds like I am forever criticising my oh. He just doesn't get this flying stuff. He thinks washing up should be done when there are no clean dishes left and tidying up done when you can't get into a room. Otherwise it's just making work and cleaning when you don't need to.

I just accept now that we have different standards. It does cause friction now and again but it's not worth arguing over.

Lots of paid stuff today. Have hoovered the stairs and landing and had a bit of a tidy. Exercise class tonight, tired but I will get myself there.

I have been to the bank (DDs) to sort out the bank account I had in trust for her, now she has opened her new account (ISA) - well building soc tbh
I have also depsited a PTA cheque I forgot about in the bank.
Been in M&S as I figured, since town was almost empty, they would have some yellow-stickered stuff.

    And did they...

Pack of Salmon tail fillets (8 I think!) HALF PRICE also some stir fry sauces down to 30p so they are in the freezer; and some other bits in the fridge. I also popped in Tesco as I have made a veggie chilli and, as I used tinned toms (as opposed to passatta, which I didn't have) it really needed some tomato puree. I didn't have that, either. So I bought a tin and have frozen the other 2 thirds, ready for next time I need some. It can go straight in the pan from the freezer and it's better (imo) than using a tube of it!

Car seemed to get hot quickly but expansion tank was still full. Maybe I'm being paranoid.

JTTOU - we are in the Midlands, in the big B :D and we have put down lots of roots even though neither of us are from here. I suspect it may be slight catastrophising on DHs part to envisage a northern exodus, but we remain vigilant  I have a sister in Bradford which I imagine isn't that far - my geography is appalling  No news from DH so I am assuming he has arrived

I have done minimal flying today, however my morning was spent MASSIVELY CULLING my wardrobe. 6 x bin bags  and if you'd have asked me I wouldn't have said I had that much in there to start with! I was worried I didn't have much left, and I don't to be fair, but at least its what I like and what fits. I shall be much more careful with future purchases. Its a bit depressingly dark though. ALL my remaining tops are navy blue!!!!!! whats that all about! I have turned into my mother  I have arranged the rest in colour order which looks sooooooo pretty :)

I am just back from an STI training session - fun fun fun! I managed to nab a wooden condom demonstrator rather hilariously and will proudly display it on my desk at work tomorrow :D

Off to get the squids from their various locations!

    xx

Great news about your DS, Lynne - bet you're relieved!

    Cheques paid into bank
Replacement cereal bowl bought, also got 5 cheap but pretty birthday cards
CD-ROMs bought - am about to copy the photo files onto three of them, write and stick on post-it notes, put into envelopes, add stamps and addresses and drop in the post box tonight
Charity accounts updated with details of cheques

Then it will be time to cook salmon with stir fried veg and noodles, so only 10 minutes' work - or should that be wok? Maybe still time left afterwards to compose the family update with photos before we go to the very exciting church council meeting (not!).

    livingroom Done!
Hall Done, but not the stairs.
    Cloakroom Done!

I've also completed another morning at work, and am not as exhausted today as I was last week, thank goodness! As a treat, I'm going to the cinema on Friday with DS1 and my neighbour - no-one in her family wants to see The Theory of Everything.

I drove through a snow shower on the way to work this mornng, but that was it, happily, was I really don't like it. Especially if it snows after I get to work, rather than before I leave home!

Lynne Very pleased to read good news.

No snow here today but very cold. Hope you are all snuggled up and keeping warm.

Been to SW and have put a wee bit on. Not surprised as I haven't been as active.

Hugs, spoons and sticks where needed.

Phew lynne what a relief xxx

Didn't make it to swimming. And it's still snowing. DD was disappointed but enjoyed a play in the snow instead. They wanted to be out front so I stayed with them and cleared the drive lol it's covered over again.

Dinner made and scoffed and kitchen put to rights. Nearly kiddie bedtime so will listen to DS reading then get them off to sleep.

I really don't think the snow stopped at all today!
