Thanks Bossy, not going down that route right now (been there done that, not very successfully). GP offered me the tablets back in October. I will try my iron and VitB sups again to see if I can perk up energy wise. HB ordering the book today!
Off to town for me before I fritter away another hour on here. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
We have a BD or 3 here too.. Horrible critters need shooting.. I need to sleep, AF to visit and DS3 to stop behaving like a maroon and KH to fall off the planet.. he has been telling the girls he has a brain tumour now so he wants them to live with him again before he dies so I have them to deal with as well.. I despair I really do!! .. Nothing like wishing something on yourself is there.. utterly disrespectful of those who are suffering with such hideous illnesses and those who have lost loved ones.. *rage!!!*
Squeaks new glasses are ready, they have Rapunzel on them so she is REALLY excited! She has a bad astigmatism so spends half her time squeezing her eyeballs to make things clearer.. so I will collect those when I take Moomin for her appointment after school.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Sticks and hugs to mummyroysof3 and glad you're feeling better Kaz
Housemate update: his coat wasn't on the hoover when I got in so was able to do a whizz round the hall. Also last night OH was clearing our dining table (including housemate's plate from his tea) and he said 'I can clean up after myself, you don't have to clean up after me'. I wonder if he reads this thread...
To be fair to him, when OH and I were travelling and he was there by himself we didn't come home to the place turning into something off one of those Extreme Cleaners-type programmes (you know the ones where they've got seventy years of newspapers, inch-thick grime on the oven etc - shudder!). He's all right really, I think it's just an awkward living situation for all of us and - although OH doesn't want him to - I suspect when we move out of this flat he'll be quite glad to strike out on his own.

He thinks washing up should be done when there are no clean dishes left and tidying up done when you can't get into a room. Otherwise it's just making work and cleaning when you don't need to.
I just accept now that we have different standards. It does cause friction now and again but it's not worth arguing over.
My OH is like this about certain things. Washing is the big one - he doesn't put things in it properly, will let it build up until the basket is overflowing and then throws it all in together without thinking about things like separating colours. Shopping done, one voucher used today and two more in my bag for next week, when I will stock up with meat and buy some packets for the food bank. I told two other people to go and pick up a paper for the voucher - lucky that A1d1 still had some on the rack!0 -
Bedroom Done, except for vacuuming, which I'll do later.
I have taken DD to uni, walked around town, and bought myself a hoody, and some bits in the Cath Kidston sale. I managed to get to my exercise class at the right time this week, and quite enjoyed it although I'm not terribly coordinated. Apparently I did okay, as the woman leading it told me she kept forgetting to especially check on me as it was my first class! Most of the others are there for cardiac rehab, which I'm not, so it's not terribly strenuous.
Hugs for those with BD hovering, I'm sure these grey days and cold do not help. How is it STILL January. I swear it goes on for about six weeks. It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0
