OK folks, the plan is this.... we put down steak heavily laced with sedative for the BDs. Once they're asleep, we manhandle (womanhandle?) them into a large crate and shut them in. Send said crate to some uninhabited island, somewhere beyond the Wilds of Holibalonka, where they can roam around to their hearts' content and never bother us again! Sound good?:D

I'm sad to say, the moronic and spiteful stuff done by Piggers' KH no longer surprises me.:( All I'd say is he needs to be careful what he wishes for....

I've seen the Consultant, and he's given me a steroid injection in my left shoulder. The immediate result of that is that I feel decidedly icky, as I'm needle-phobic. However, based on the results with my wrists, the reduction in pain will be worth it. Plan now is that he'll write to my GP saying he wants me to have a blood test :eek::eek::eek::eek: and he'll sort out an appointment for me to see him 2nd week in March, when I can decide if I want the right shoulder injected (ie see how well the left one responds, and if I think it'll be a good thing). He's very good at letting the patient say what they'd like.:o

So, I'm afraid Flying is off for today, I really don't think it's sensible to try anything feeling this yucky. Plus Mr LW is wfh, so I'd be tiptoeing around him so as not to disturb his concentration.

I'm probably now going to get myself hanged as a heretic... but I don't think the KonMari thing is for me. We already have a system whereby if it's not needed, used, wanted or loved by either of us, it goes, and I think that's sufficient.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

You have my utmost empathy. I think job centres are the most depressing of places and trying to talk on the phone to government shysters is just as bad. Hope the mot not too expensive and hope the rest of the day goes better.

LW - Had to laugh at your suggestion - wish it was that easy as I would pop along and give everyone a hand with the job. I like to think that maybe being on here and talking about things is helpful to some people. Hope the injection works and your treatment can go forward for you.

Pigpen - All I can add is that people who wish themselves ill often find it happens. The mind and body are not disconnected and respond to good as well as evil thoughts.

Dusty - Thanks for the laugh with the kittens - that was funny

The vouchers for A*di are in the Daily R*c up here in the frozen lands and DH *bless* has purloined two for me.

I also have an offer of money-off an on-line purchase from Oc*do. Just wondered what others think of this SM ??

I don't have a twiggly why, but I was motivated to totally declutter my fridge this afternoon. So it was totally emptied, all the half-used jars, packets and boxes were checked for date and usability. Fridge then duly cleaned inside, pulled out and cleaned outside and round the back, then refilled. I only actually had one little bag of stuff to throw - job done :T

Dinner just about ready so I'll be back laters

    Dailies gone.
    Birds and cat fed.
    Bedroom done.

Went for lunch and shopping with DD. She is so over the moon that she is to have a grandson after three granddaughters. I am too but it seems to have brought her to life.

A big bucket of sticks to chase the BD away. Help yourselves. Hugs and spoons where needed

    moan alert

got a text last night from a colleague (who doesn't drive) - could I give her a lift to work? Well I could and I did but I was less than impressed when she informed me that the reason she needed a lift was that her hubby 'won't drive in snow' - in fact he too has arranged a lift to his work. Right. So I'll drive you then. For free. She asked for a lift home. I made her wait until I was ready - at almost 6pm.

Another colleague asked for a lift once. Got her daughter to bring her to mine and she gave me chocs as a thank you! (Not needed but much appreciated) - but when I'm asked for 2/3 lifts a week....a few ££ towards petrol wouldn't go amiss...because a taxi (if she's stuck) costs her £10+

    or maybe I'm being unreasonable...

Piggers that man is an utter !!!!. That girl I knew who died had a brain tumour.

You see I know me, I need to be outside, I need nature, I need sunlight, I need my hands dirty in the soil.

Sounds like we need a meet at garden centre asap - lots of plants followed by coffee and cake..............I'll pm you but am still finishing work 1.30 tomorrow and I don't have any work booked for Monday if either of those take your fancy.

    Hugs in the meantime x

  • Dusty - I feel exactly the same at the moment. just flat. No energy at all. Family do for sister's 50th on 31st and I just can't be faffed. And work is not good and I'm stressing over the submissions for the Lifelong Learning course - I have to write 50 lines of poetry. Initial attempts are like herding cats or knitting soup - blooming impossible...
