WM run, just about to hang up clothes, walked dogs, cleaned out chooks, been to CBT session, had lunch, tried on new jumper on Whiz the Whippet (lush!), had 2 cups of tea so suppose I should do some flying now.
Anyone fancy a HHC 1.30?
Pigpen, can't believe KH - what an awful thing to say.
Mummyroysof3 and Dusty when the BD is around me I try to make sure I do something nice for myself every day - even if it's just to crash out on the sofa and read a book for 30 minutes. I've learned how important it is that we are kind to ourselves, not permanently dashing around after others and it's so easy to forget when we're mums. Sending hugs xx
Minerva_windsong great the housemate picked his stuff up and is helping a bit more; long may it continue!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Hi - caught up now I'm back and have scoffed lunch!
Got to go back in to pay for the bargain of the century - W**dsmoor coat for a £5!! It is a small and fits!!!! and looks like it has never been worn!! Now I can wash the ones I have that now drown me and recycle those.
Will go for a long walk whilst I'm out as it is not too bad here today.
Dusty - have you tried Mindfulness? It worked for me and I still do it when needed. I paid for a course online but some GPs will fund. PM me if you want more detail.July 16 £95/£200

Re JTTOU's post, I can recommend Headspace.com - it's guided mindfulness and you can try it for a while free and then, if you like it, pay a monthly fee which isn't very much. I benefit from it; only problem is I quite often nod off to sleep which isn't really the point of it so actually don't do it if I'm too tired.
Oooops, meant to be HHCing ......Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -

Good. As the book will tell you, it can take three months to kick in fully so if you make the decision to go down that road, don't expect immediate results. I just felt I was finally taking control and that worked instantly and then upped the dose gradually until I'd got to where I wanted to be.Dustykitten wrote: »kittens tripped over, removed from washing machine, removed from cupboard, removed from garage recycling, removed from bathroom bin.
Ionafan beat me to it but :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I came home once and heard my tiny kitten crying, couldn't find him, and finally tracked him down to the flip top kitchen bin. Goodness knows how long he was stuck in there, but he never tried to walk across it again.
I'd quite like to have a £5 off voucher, but so far the grocery bill here for January has reached a grand total of £67.76 and we've still got a freezer-full. Having signed up for the Not Buying It thread a while back (but ran out of reading time, so left) it appears some of the commonsense has stuck with me and I'm running my stocks down. We'll still be doing so in February, although I treated us to crabclaws yesterday which were rather fab although totally unnescessary.
Desk sort of cleared and froggie phone call made, washing starting to be put away.Better is good enough.0 -
Pigpen words fail me, they really do. Sigh.
And Dusty sorry to hear you are feeling down. Dont be too hard on yourself and get help and support from wherever you can. Too many of us struggle on and feel bad about not coping.
Paid stuff done, bit of shopping, going to walk the dog next. I was going to do some more decluttering but I am not really in the mood so I am not sure if its a good idea.
Oh and I am alone. DS is out. I am rarely without him and much as I love him this is such a treat!0 -
HHC done - hung washing up, vacuumed upstairs, sorted through drawers and put stuff in for recycling/CS. This is an ongoing project. Also found I had 6 small packs of tissues all over the bedroom where I just pull them out of my pockets and dump them
. Made our bed too.
Now me time - my favourite time where I just chill for an hour *bliss*.Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Thanks my lovely friends you are always so kind. Half way through next door's garden and I feel so much better. You see I know me, I need to be outside, I need nature, I need sunlight, I need my hands dirty in the soil. I so often wished we had decided to live in the country years ago, kids all wish the same. I guess it is not too late but would be much more difficult with DH and DS1 and DS2 both all using the train every day and DS3 needing the bus for school.
I will try to get out in my garden for an hour everyday from now on and maybe start driving to the country side and walking around on nice days, need to learn some routes. Wonder if there are any walking groups.
I have the headspace ap and yin yoga is a sort of mindfulness but what works for me is outside. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

In a grumpy, cba mood today. I haven't done anything today except go food shopping, did Mr A and Mr T. I rarely shop on my own and today reminded me why. It was horrible, very busy, we normally shop in the evenings. Mr A was the worst had a panic attack once I got back to the car
I'm still proud I did it and only forgot one thing
I've been bombarded by messages today with people wanting conversations and after stuff. I ended up lying and saying that my mum was on the phoneThis is the quietest half hour all day so I'm having a coffee and watching Jamie Oliver cooking
I have jobs to do with DD2 in about half hour when she gets home, DD1 is on a late tonight :cool:0 -

Shopping done, one voucher used today and two more in my bag for next week, when I will stock up with meat and buy some packets for the food bank. I told two other people to go and pick up a paper for the voucher - lucky that A1d1 still had some on the rack!
Lol! I do the same! Three shops in a week but stock up on cereal, cat food, milk, washing powder, dw tabs etc.
My mum spends £30-£35 a week and never buys the paper. I told her that a couple of boxes of cereal or something would take her over and it would be like getting the cereal for free! She is worried that she won't spend £40 and then won't be able to use the voucher. So I have said I will go with her next week and tot it up as I go along. I round everything to the nearest 50p and I'm never far away! Lol!
I got one of the quiches today. Never buy quiche because hubby doesn't like it but it looked really scrummy.loving the bread flour, biscuits, fish and focaccia!Grocery challenge-
