Just dropping in envious of flyladies with snow although I've been on a training session in London today so it could have been a bit awkward. Only flying today was feeding, mucking out and making up more feeds for horse on my way to the station, then dropping in on my way home to finish off.

I'm lucky to have a flyman who is far more conscientious than I am about housework, without being OCD. He's doing quite a few bits & pieces around the house while he's off as he says it saves him from slumping in front of the TV. He managed to extend his walk to a mile today.

The training today was on hints & tips (expensive ones) on how to renew my assessor's certificate, so double and triple checking the one I have to send with them is going to be higher priority than flying this week, and finishing CPD recording. 5 students to teach tomorrow so that's a bit of a non flier too.

I'm managing to keep up with the decluttering an item a day - not keeping count but the box for delivery to charity shop is filling up fast. Am also filling a carrier bag full of old work, bills and bank statements to burn some time (I don't have a shredder).
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Ds managed to go back to school today but DD didn't. I'm feeling better now this evening which is just as well as I have lots to do tomorrow. Will have a get together of my list later on or in the morning. Need to get on the laptop for that though so depends when I can get on.
No snow down here thankfully but there was some the other day. Friday maybe? We're so close to the coast here it doesn't often stick and I'm pleased as I live up a big hill!

Throwing a big stick for the BD to chase instead of you; I know how that feels, sending gentle hugs to you.

Bossymoo you sound very organised with your birthday cake! The most ambitious I've ever done is a swiss roll which I covered in chocolate icing, put 2 Smarties on for eyes and said it was a caterpillar ..... ;)

Off to bed now, still didn't do ironing but it's on my radar for tomorrow.

  • Hugs mummyroysof3 sorry you feel down, it's a bad time of year. I am sick of the cold dark weather and long for a bit of warm sunshine.

I am off to sleep in a minute, it's been a long day. Sounds like it's raining outside, hardly a flake of snow here.

minerva - There is only me and DD (nearly 14 now!) here. She helps every day doing jobs, even if its just tidying up her own stuff when reminded. I'm hoping it'll put her in a good position when she moves out ;)

Lynne - Glad to hear DS is okay!

    mummyroysof3 - *hugs*

Well today turned out well. :D Walked to the doctors and back so clocked up another 2.6miles :j Official weigh in saw me 1.5lbs down from when I last weighed in on Nov 5th! HT was happy that although I've gained over the holidays, I have also lost the majority of it again and by his records (always afternoons & always in the same clothes ;)) I've gone down into the next stone bracket and just need to loose 4lbs to get my 1st stone off. On my home scales (which helps me keep track, and gives me my actual weight ;)) I'm 3lbs lighter then on his :rotfl: So on the way home I popped into the bigger c0-0p to see what reduced items I could get. I came out having spent £16 on groceries, all but 4 items were reduced so worth considerably more and stuff we use, but they were giving away the Christmas stock! :D So I picked up 6 rolls of wrapping paper (RRP £2 each for 6m) and 2 pairs of adult gloves, one pair says "bah hum bug" and the other says "jingle bells" (RRP £3 each):money:. I could have got other things, but it was basically santa stop here signs and giant stockings left. Plus I figured walking out with 8 free items and 2 very full bags of reduced shopping was more than enough :rotfl:

Lots of laundry and paid stuff to do tomorrow, as well as bill paying :o So any other flying will be a bonus. :(
