Grrrr! I think my washing machine is on the blink! Yesterday the panel said eod??? I switched it ff, took the clothes out. They were soaked but clean.
Today I put some cleaning solution in and tried again! Still says eod.
We have had such a bad month.
2 x car insurance, 1 x car tax, £700 garage bill and annual management fees as well as ds2's birthday and party. I could really do without having to buy a new washing machine.
Any ideas????
Right, slurping my tea and then 2 x hhc at 11.30.Grocery challenge-

Frizzle you have had a bad run of it judging by what you listed - January's hard enough without that lot isn't it. I hope you don't mind if I join you for your HHC as I need to get going.
Nicki I'm with you on the food inventory list - that's one of my jobs for the weekend I think. Hope DD's exams go well.
JTTOU oh dear, grim when you start a cold isn't it. I think have some paracetamol, hot drinks and just rest as much as you can.
Kaz your list is big! Hope tonight goes well for you. As for DS well we have similar with my DD who has just turned 12 - I think (or hope) it's yet another phase they go through.
Here's my list for today:
Friday ~ Bathroom and WC
Scrub the bath/shower/basins/toilets.. don't forget the outside of the loo and under the scanky rim.. it gets naaaaaasty under there!!.. oh, and don't forget the top of the cistern!
Polish up the taps so they shine!
Clear and wipe window sills and frames and make the blinds/curtains nice and clean
Extras- Replace and curly toothbrushes
- Polish mirrors and shelves!
I'll do what I can ...Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Frizzle when mine was playing up last month the outlet pipes were blocked full of gunk. DH and I took it apart and cleaned them and reassembled it, all through internet forums and youtube videos. So google your make and model and I bet the answer is out there is cyber space.
Shopping nearly all away. Just having an early lunch and then teeth cleaning and off to the hygenist - ycuk. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Done everything apart from polishing the shelves and mirrors which I'll do later and I have to say the bathroom looks so much better. Just going to have a quick lunch then start on some paid work.
Dusty hope it goes well at the hygienist - I hate going there too but think how gleaming you will be afterwards!Flymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0 -
Still utterly shocked about pigpen's KH. I agree with those saying be careful what you wish for...
Squeak looks very cute in her new glasses though! I remember having some Disney glasses when I was about that old (they were gold Aladdin ones - showing my age!) and loved them.
Valli - no not unreasonable, it's one thing to ask as a one-off/occasional thing but another to just expect it. I think very strongly hinting is the way to go at first and if that doesn't work then going down the persistent 'sorry, no, I can't' route (though it's difficult I know).minerva_windsong wrote: »Thrilling Thursday ~ Master bedroom/second room

But i have been tidying and managing to keep the house, well tidy for us :rotfl:
Hope you are all well, going to have a hot drink and try and catch up with you all.0 -
Hello!
It's cuppa time so thought I'd pop in. DD and I have done the grocery shop (spent £££s but have treated myself to a food processor to make the healthy eating a bit easier. And some new kitchen scales that were reduced).
So, shopping all put away, lunch sorted and downstairs loo cleaned. Just going to supervise DD making a card for her brother, then I'm going to pull the carp out from under the kitchen sink :eek:Bossymoo

Afternoon all, just skimmed through the past couple of pages and really all I can say is wow...
Piggers your KH is definately a KH, fancy saying what he did to the children. Unless he can back it up with Dr's appts, consultant appts and paperwork then I would tell him where to go. I would even go as far as stopping him seeing the children incase he really upsets them. What a !!!!!!... Hope the children are okay.
Dusty hope you are feeling a bit better today, hugs and love
I need help from you lovely ladiesI am going to my cake club tomorrow and I am planning on cooking Diva's Aunt Sally's Apple Cake. But I have a problem, does anyone know what size cake tin the cake mix goes into? I have scoured through some of MSD's posts, but they are a bit upsetting especially as some of them have Toots replying etc.. Then I thought the ladies on here would know, so for those that have made her cake and remember her do you know what size tin please? Oh and how big is the cake, would it feed 10 slices or more?

((((Hugs)))) Kezlou. That blasted black dog gets everywhere.
No flying for me today though ive managed to vacuum both upstairs and down. Ive steamed the hard floors too but that's as much as I can do as ive got my Grandson for the day whilst his Mummy is at work. He is in a particularly grizzly mood and wants everything he shouldn't have.
King prawn curry and special fried rice for tea from the local Chinese takeaway as I'm knackered. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Well done mum of2. Sounds like you got lots done and thanks for the company.
Dusty- thanks for putting that idea in my head. I don't know why I didn't think about that. After googling it- the suggestion is the brushes are worn so going to take off the back tonight when hubby gets back to assess the damage!
I remember two Christmases ago, our oven stopped working. I thought it was going to mean a new oven but we bought a new fan and fixed it ourselves, via a how to video. I was so proud of my non- diy husband!
Well due to all that going on I haven't achieved much in my hour.
A bit of tiding in the bedroom, dusted the cobwebs downstairs, mopped the floor and that's about it. Better crack on after lunch.
List feels a bit bitty today! Little bits from every room needed. Going to delete off the things that I can't due to the broken wm. That might help!
Sort out ds2's wardrobe/ drawers and clothes!
