Lose 100 lbs in 2015

Well I can swim a long distance but it is in a stately breast stroke way so not that impressive! And my knee is not good so it is more to try and tone up my arms a bit (they are bingotastic at present).0

Oh my goodness tootallulah, I can flap with the best of them even though I don't play bingo!
I love swimming but I'm still too self conscious to get into a swimsuit, as my shape is a little more odd than most, even those of my size. I got a lot of looks last time I tried it, and some small children nearby found it impossible not to express their astonishment at my size and shape! I don't get the same when walking as my baggy clothes cover the most scary bits.
I lost 3lbs this week, but it has been very hard - I have felt that I was depriving myself a bit. Being realistic I may not be able to keep it up but I do hope I won't have a gain - if I can get through the summer holidays with an overall loss, even a small one, that would be fantastic.
Best of luck to all... I'm taking my lovely mum out today for a treat so will be relaxing a bit, but not too much. xxI believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

jps - 3lbs utterly marvellous. I usually only swim when out of the country but my trip to France really helped as we went in the sea every day and really who cares? I couldnt go to a public pool I might meet a neighbour!0

Well done jps
It is tough staying motivated. I have been really bad and letting the poor choices creep back in. I was chatting with a friend about CBT and mindfullness to see if I can work out new coping mechanisms or at least learn to recognise what my triggers are. Need to give this some more thought.
Challenges and joining a health club sound good tootallulah & cwr.
Do you have any bingo wing tips? I have lose skin there too.0 -
No tips just a need to do something, I will do a bit of investigating and report back.
I have started packing my case and I have a list of things to get before Tuesday. I am working tomorrow to try and get everything done before I go.

Drizzly this morning so I haven't gone on my usual walk. I'm going to do a bit of vigorous gardening in a bit, as the weather is meant to clear up a bit. If it clears up early enough I'll go for a walk and hopefully will do a bigger walk tomorrow (2-3 miles, with a hill) that I haven't done for years.
Might have to chicken out, will see how the aches and pains are, but I should manage a mile or so of it anyway, even if I have to turn back. I've been suffering with sharp back pains after walking, which has improved a bit with anti-inflammatories - keeping an eye on it and being sensible.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

Have you thought about visiting a chiropractor? I was talking to one yesterday and she says she treats lots of people who have taken anti inflamatories which in effect mask the problem, if they visited her earlier she is able to sort them out much quicker (and cheaper) and less painfully.Make £2025 in 2025

Hi Slinky, no but I have seen my doctor and I'm hoping it isn't going to be too much of a problem. It is sore again after today's walk though - I did the 2-3 mile walk along a ridge in the peak district, for the first time in at least 10 years.
It was glorious weather but clouded over just as I was heading home. I really needed to do it after yesterday, when I had a binge relapse and felt so annoyed with myself.I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.

There is something life affirming about the Peak District I hope it lifted your spirits jps.
I am sewing like a demon today as I have two dolls to make and I want them finished before I go away.
And tonight I am out with my family for my Mum's 88th birthday and we are going to our local Indian restaurant (her choice). My first restaurant Indian food since Christmas....................
And I need to get junge formula insect repellant.0 -
It certainly has tootallulah - I feel great today. I did the short walk near home (about 1 mile) very early in the lovely early sunshine. I've just pottered the rest of the day, but am going to do a bit of gardening (aka taming the jungle at the very bottom of the garden!) this evening.
I'll very likely do some bat and moth watching as it goes dark - should be good conditions tonight and my garden is great for both.
Had a very good day yesterday and made up for my stupid binge. Doing well today so far, if I stay to my plan I should have about 1600 calories.
Hope you and your mum have a wonderful time tootallulah!I believe in the freedom of spinach and the right to arm bears.
