And once I have shopped today I am getting a handle on my mad over food shopping, two full freezers (full of God knows what), garden with plenty of good veg, loads of skinny snacks in the cupboard. I DON'T NEED ANYTHING.

Surprisingly chuffed that I have moved my weigh in day to Saturday I eat the most "extras" at the week-end and I am sure it is better to do that early in the week.

Tootallulah, i tend to find that i hold onto lbs when i have been flying - it confuses my insides! After a few days my digestion returns to normal and the lbs disappear, maybe you will be the same. Glad to hear you had an amazing time.

    Morning

Do you mind if I crash in and join the thread?

Sounds like a fab holiday and really good to hear someone who is happy with their lot.

I always put weight on in hols but comes off after so fingers crossed for you and good to have a firm target in mind.

I did lower carb and lost 3st 9lb over a year in 2013. Gradually put 3 stone of it back on :(. Am now at 1st 7lb weight loss from my heaviest weight. I want to loose at least half a stone a month, hopefully more.

Hello Mark, a warm welcome Hopelesly Hopeful, please do join in the more the merrier. Everyone has a different goal and it helps us all to have more posters. I do hope Ali t is right as it will take the rest of the month to lose what I have gained and it would be good for it to clear right off.

I kept to 1650 calories yesterday it felt as hot here as KL. I bought milk, fruit and veg and yogurt but managed to swerve all other foods. Rather annoyingly I seem to have run out of olive oil so at some point I need to sort that out.

Today I plan to finish the washing, do the ironing, tidy the garden, finish making two dolls and their outfits. I have a friend coming to stay from Thursday so there will be cleaning and tidying! I have loads of post holiday energy so I must make the most of it.

    1712 calories.

OK I am off work until Thursday so it is my time to finally sort out this house, do my cleaning and get ready for the autumn. I am also going to make tomato soup, the first of the season no doubt there will be a lot more looking at the garden.

I am also doing a trip to the charity shop I have loads of stuff ready for donation including a lot of summer stuff which wont fit by next year.

I'm really glad you had a fabulous holiday, although how could you not have done, and 5lb really isn't too bad at all. My holiday weight dropped off very quickly, it's just a shame that so did my motivation and I'm now heavier than when I got back...

I really must stop reaching for comfort food when I'm tired and grumpy. I know it doesn't actually make me feel any better in the long run but I just can't seem to get a grip at the moment.

Hi all, I lost 1.5lbs this week - welcome back tootallulah, glad you had a great time. That 5lbs will soon be gone!

I will probably have a gain next week as I'm having a "holiday" this week and eating whatever I want, as it's the last week of the hols. Even if I gain a few pounds, I'll still have an overall loss for the summer, which is more than I could have hoped for.

I'll still be with you next year as well! I think it is good to have that long term goal.

I've had a look through my history and it's working out that I lose about a stone every three months. Not as fast as I would really like, but I think it is sustainable for me.

Hiya Izadora, start again for the autum? Have a break and restart on 1 September? Just give yourself a deadline but don't give up you are doing so well.

Morning jps congrats on the weight loss have a brilliant last week of the hols, see you back in September. I am losing 1 lb a week averaged out, I would like it to be more but as you say it is sustainable and I want to step it up for a month so my new aim is to have no cheat September!
