Whilst drifting around Poundland today I spotted the big bags of skinny sea salt popcorn with 6 bags inside - 52 calories, 2 points, also Walkers Baked crisps, 3 points. Both of these are a horrendous price in Waitrose so that was a good notice. I need to add a bag of something to my lunch some days so I don't get the urge to nip into the nearest food shop on the way home. My treat snack of choice has been Twiglets but I do like the sea salt pop corn a lot, I swerved the baked crisps as I don't know what they are like and I don't eat a lot of crisps, has anyone had them?
I have a day off tomorrow and am going to start slightly belated spring cleaning.
I had smoked haddock with poached eggs and asparagus for dinner it was delicious!
The baked crisps are ok but I find them a bit dry to eat.
Am addicted to the skinny popcorn though, especially the sweet and spicy version!!0 -
Thanks Pootle I will give the crisps a miss, the salted popcorn is a thing of beauty!
Today I have planted up my hanging baskets, and left them in the greenhouse as there is a frost forecast. The good weather in April has lulled me into a false sense of security.
Just off to make my tea of salmon and salad. Then out for a pub quiz.0 -

Hi Sharon87, welcome to the thread!!
I would love to be in your position, and be at that weight. It's a lot harder when your slimmer, and have weight to lose, then when your bigger.
I'm 5ft10, so my ideal weight is 70 kg, and that's what I'm heading for, although it's going to take a lot of hard work.
Booze is my worst enemy, but stick with this thread and we can support and motivate each other.
:T:j
The problem is I'm a foot smaller than you! 4 foot 10, so not so slim for my height!
I had a bit of a rubbish start to the week, was feeling ill and wanted to eat junk food so I did! But after realising junk food didn't make me feel better I went back on track mid week.
I did make something to curb the chocolate cravings though, I mixed 30g of chopped hazelnuts, 30g chopped almonds and 40g sultanas, with 30g of green and blacks cooking chocolate and made what looks like rice krispie cakes, but with nuts. That quantity made about 7 of them at just over 100 calories each. My personal trainer tells me to eat a small portion of nuts every day, so this is my way of ensuring I do!
I'm off to see my personal trainer today, but don't think the scales will be friendly after my slip earlier this week and only one gym session this week as well.0 -
Losing weight is usually hard for everyone, even me. I think it just affects us all in different ways. Can't wait to see us all achieve the 100Ibs loss this year though, it'll be worth it!
I love the baked crisps but only ever find the huge bags which are 7 1/2 syns!!!0 -
Day 118, 45 points.
I agree with UK TG losing weight is hard but we know that if it was easy I wouldn't have 100 lbs to lose! Or rather 72lbs to lose...............
What a miserable cold day, neighbours party tomorrow I must stay strong.0 -
UKTigerLily - baked crisps are 6 bags for £1 in poundland.0

Crisps for me aren't my downfall, but if they were in the house I'd eat them! I take the view of if I want a pack I have to go out and buy one! This goes for the same for most naughty things!
Just a question how much alcohol do any of you consume when you're on a diet and what alcohol do you drink? I've cut back on it a lot. I try to have vodka diet coke as oppose to the very calorific fruit ciders!
Good news on the weight loss front, I lost about a pound this week, which is surprising! I'm down to 71.3kg. I want to get into the 70kg mark next week.0 -
I used to drink at least a couple of bottles of wine at the weekends, but I've cut back dramatically and just have the odd blow out. Friday we went out, early doors, straight from work and I had 3 pints of Thatchers' Gold, and shared 3 bottles of wine between 4 of us, so I counted that as one bottle (basically cos I'd lost track of how many glasses I'd had by then!). I'm doing WeightWatchers, so use my 49 weekly extra points for evenings like that.Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame
Love is a losing game0 -
Get this I have cooked brandy snaps and made amoretto ice-cream without sampling either. My smugness knows no bounds.0
