I hope you're feeling better today tootallulah. Dieting's no fun at the best of times but when you're tired and under the weather it's sooooo much harder not to give in to the temptation of sweets and chocolate.
  • How are we all today?

Surprisingly, I've lost 1lb! Pleased that it wasn't a gain, but annoyed at myself for faffing around for the last couple of weeks when I could have been at my 2st loss by now.

Work is just mental and my friend and I left the office tonight with our heads boggling!! I said 'it's no wonder we go a bit crazy at the weekends!'
    Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
    And now the final frame

Thank you MOHD we need all the luck we can get.

CWR brilliant for losing despite a difficult couple of weeks. I feel mad with myself about the whole of February, we are both close to 2 stones now we need to get on it. Work being mad often means "help me" eating in my view.

Thanks Izadora, still a bit wretched but hopefully will be fully recovered by the week-end as I need to get going big time I want new things for my break in Palma which means getting started this week-end and finishing over Easter.

I'm about to move to the Middle East and everyone seems to put on a stone out there - I intend to lose 4 stone . In the meantime though before I go I have to do the rounds of farewell meals etc (shame) plus a week in Spain with crusty bread and butter to negotiate. Plus wine at 90p a bottle :o. So for now, if I can stay in the same stone bracket for March I'll be content .
OK, leaving meals and holiday (complete with bread and butter and 90p wine :D) completed and unless I have a [STRIKE]fabulous[/STRIKE] disastrous few days I'm in the same stone bracket :T. Went to chub club last night and had lost 1.5lbs in a month which I was pleased with, considering what's been going on. So, for my own records:
    Starting goal - 56lbs
    This week's loss - 1.5lbs :T
    Cumulative loss - 1.5lbs :T
Weight to go - 54.5lbs .

Now moved on from the 'sorry you're leaving' to 'yeah, you've retired' phase of lunches :D, two this week (one with an MSE'er :)) plus a curry on Sunday. Damage limitation being undertaken on SW plan - doing their 'no carbs' version on the other days so here's hoping. Plus keeping up with the walking - which is where the 1.5lbs went, I'm sure I actually heard 1/2lb drop off the other day when I did nearly 10 miles. It made a disgusting squelchy, sink-plunger type noise as it went :rotfl:.

Hope you're feeling better Toots :).

Hiya GG good luck and well done on the first 1.5 low carb will be interesting! The walking is really good I just realised last week that as I walk up from the station to my new job (uphill) I used to stop to catch my breath but now I can get there in one go. Next goal is to get it down to 15 minutes. Do you know when you are leaving the UK yet?

Well done gallygirl and CWR, it's always good when you manage an unexpected loss.

I can sympathise with getting annoyed about faffing. I was on the train this morning and couldn't stop myself thinking what weight I would've been able to achieve by holiday if I hadn't had 6 weeks of eating appallingly.

Oh well, nothing I can do about it now so I just need to concentrate on carrying on eating as healthily as I can. I made a big vat of butternut squash, cauliflower and spinach curry last night - only 3pp per portion - so at least I've got a couple of quick and easy low point meals in the freezer to reach for on days when I can't be bothered.

Day 73, 66 points. A truly terrible diet day which included Pret sandwiches, a buttered scone, 4 skinny cappucinos, canapes etc. Loved every mouthful....I have used all of my 49 extra points plus 20 of my 23 activity points and I still have three days of this week to go.

So back on it today and having to stay in 35 points a day if I am to keep within my points allowance. Bad week so far but not giving up, the first quarter of the challenge ends on Tuesday.
