Pottering around at home, super lovely. I have planted a few tomato seeds and now I am going to get up to the office and do some work.0

Enjoy your day of pottering!
What line of work are you in? You seem to have to travel about a bit (Don't have to say if you'd rather not)
My 'trade' is graphic design and I was still doing that work until last year when I suddenly decided to do something different (a lot more stressful although still in the same organisation) - so I have to keep my skills up by doing the odd private commission at home.Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame
Love is a losing game0 -
I work in heritage directorship, but at present I am doing a part time CEO role and a bit of consultancy. Both of those mean loads of time in London and Edinburgh, in my previous role I did a lot of work internationally which sounds more glamorous than it really is on the ground. I feel much better today, the drugs do work, I am off to get my hair cut, shoes heeled and buy some fresh veg. And whilst I am out I will drop the obligatory trolley load of stuff at the charity shop.0

You're all doing so well.
I've been lurking here for a while but, seeing as I decided to start counting points (again!!!!) on Monday, I thought it was about time I joined in.
I'd like to lose 45lb altogether but my first target is 25lb by the time I go on holiday - in just over 11 weeks.
I'm hoping that the "quick to go on, quick to come off" thing is going to work for me as I've put on about 10lb in the past 6 weeks - the joys of giving up smoking. At least I started a diet the same day that I quit so all I've really done is put on what I'd lost before the not smoking really got to me and I started eating everything in sight.
3 days down and hoping that I can stick to it this time...0 -
Hello and welcome Izadora, many congratulations on giving up smoking. That looks like a doable target and will certainly open up a whole raft of opportunities to get into last year's summer stuff. Let us know how you get on in the first week.0

And I also want to lose 25lbs in the next 11 weeks so we can help each other along a bit.0

Day 66, 36 points. I seem to be back on track with proper tasty food and I am certainly feeling much more human. In the end I didn't go out it was so cold and I am a bit wheezy so I stayed in and did a whole big piece of writing instead. I will be so pleased when I am not having to do that on Sunday!
I am having dinner with my lovely school friends on Saturday, I have saved a lot of my "extra " points for that and will just need to swerve alcohol - actually I can because I am taking antibiotics. Even I can't eat 36 points worth of food at one sitting. I haven't seen them (the friends) since late December, will they notice I have lost weight? I do think it might take 40lbs before it is obvious.0 -
CWR in my current job the graphic designer lives in St Petersburgh, never met her, or even spoken but it seems to work. It is always good to have a skill where you can do interesting work on the side.0

Ooooooh sunny day here I might see the eclipse citing.0

I reckon I could, quite easily. Especially if there was ice cream or cake involvedtootallulah wrote: »I haven't seen them (the friends) since late December, will they notice I have lost weight? I do think it might take 40lbs before it is obvious.
It's possible that they'll notice but not say anything because they're worried about causing offence - quite how anyone's ever going to be offended by being told they look like they've lost weight I'll never know but when I've dieted in the past I've had friends comment that they didn't like to say anything until it got to the point where it was so blindingly obvious that knew I had. Even if they don't notice then it doesn't matter, you still know how well you've done.0
