Day 62, 57 points - dinner with friends, champagne, white wine, 3 courses, hand made chocolates....tomorrow is another, and let's hope, better day.

I am cooking lunch today, I will try and be careful but no doubt I will be quite close to the edge of using all my points plus my activity points. I don't think that I am progressing as well as I did in the first month because, quite simply I am eating more!

Next week I am going back to basics and saving all my "extra" points for the week-end when I am staying with friends. I think that way I should reach 2lbs per week rather than the occasional 3lbs and loads of 1lbs. Looking ahead I am away in Palma for four days in April and it is also Easter, but there will always be something and I need to lose 100lbs this year. Happy Mothering Sunday all mothers.

Have just read the entire thread and want to say well done and good luck for the rest of the year.

I'm also on a diet, but this is only my first week, will find out how I've done tomorrow, eek!

I find my problem is that if I eat something bad, I think oh sod it and then go mad. But I'm trying not to be like this. So what if you eat something bad. Now just be good for the rest of the day, week, whatever.

I also used to find that I didn't want to go out to restaurants as "what's the point?" But now realise I have to live at the same time and it is a lifestyle change, not just a quick fix.

So went out yesterday for Mother's Day to a Jamie Oliver restaurant and yeah, I went over on points (also doing ww, but the old system as I just can't get on with the pro points), but today will be a better day.

I need to plan my meals in advance and I'm okay. I'm not a choc or cake person, my downfall has always been the red wine! Although even seem to be getting better at that with not much trying, wahey!

Hiya toots, recognised your name from MFW so started reading & have now subscribed

Well done to you & everyone else on here for the weight losses & determination to keep going :T

I'm 62 days behind you, but I'm hoping to lose a chunk of weight over the next few months, will probably do a combination of Slimming World & low-GI with a few tweaks.

Hello all three of you. UK Tiger Lily you are the bees knees, and it shows that with determination, exercise and dieting huge strides can be made. Your weight loss is brilliant, and inspiring

PollyAnna what you describe was me on every one of my previous diets. I have no idea why it is different tis time but it is (and it may well be this diary which is why I post so much, nowhere to hide). Good luck with your weight loss I hope you will post again.

Morning PinkPoppy please do join in, selfishly it really helps me and CWR not to be Lone Rangers. I am building up my off set this year and concentrating just on me. I will be back on MFW next year, hopefully about half the woman I am now.
  • Wow, that's amazing UK Tiger Lily, well done you!!

Enjoy your lunch tootallulah (even though you've cooked it)!

I seem to be eating more at the moment also, I'm still counting everything (even 4 olives I ate whilst waiting for our meal on Friday night and everyone else had garlic pizza bread - turns out 4 olives are nil pp but I still looked them up) but feel I'm not making the best choices.

Another meal out on Thursday night for our boss' birthday - menu is very limited and a bit 'specialist' - lots of steak (of which I am not a fan) so I'm having a burger and chips (plan to leave the bread roll and you only get a few chips anyway)!! The only other thing I would eat (and enjoy) would be the duck. At least not much alcohol will be involved as we have work the next day!

At least I don't have to contend with chocolates today or a meal out as my lazy lot haven't bothered (phonecall from Uni son earlier and the other 2 have gone off to play football)!

Hi all, sorry haven't posted much yet. I've had a better week this week, so hoping for a good loss when I weigh in tomorrow.

Small victories this week include buying a limited amount of "treat" foods for Friday/weekend, so I won't have enough in to really go mad, stopping eating when I'm full, and going for a half-hour walk today!

Last week I also managed several days when I stuck to an eating curfew after tea (that's dinner for southerners!) which is really something for me, as it's something I never really managed to do on previous attempts at weight loss.

Day, 63 -57 points what a disaster of a week-end. Weigh in tomorrow.......

Back on it tomorrow, and looking to do more exercise and cut my points to 35 a day leaving my 47 points for the week-ends. Time to dig in and not give up at my first two consecutive bad days. It took nearly 11 weeks before the first big wobble. I start anew tomorrow,
  • I hear you tootallulah, I've had a shocking weekend too, but no, we will not be giving in!!!

Just off to make a chicken salad for tomorrow's lunch and will have porridge for breakfast. Will aim to drink 2 litres of water as well as tea/coffee. I figured if I keep my points low until Wednesday's weigh in I might be able to limit any damage done.

Good luck all for this week!!
