Day 61, 47 points rather scuppering lunch out however I have loads of activity points in reserve so I am not panicking yet.

Completely in awe of Dancing Dermot, surely the nicest man in the World.
  • Meal at ASK within points (Linguine con fruite de mare) but copious wine and vodkas will have to come out of weeklies. Will tot up tomorrow when sober. Wore the wet look jeans but with flats and my feet are thanking me!!

    And now the final frame

  • My New Romantic youth!

Ahh, those were the days! I grew up in a Welsh mining village and as an art student I was a bit of a spectacle down the local of a weekend - think the pub scene on the moors in 'An American Werewolf in London'.

Really pleased you wore them CWR, I can't wait for the joy of size 16 and multiple clothes choices. I think we were so lucky to grow up in that time you could be different and it was a good thing. I am thinking of changing my weigh in day to Saturday so my worse eating days are at the beginning of the dieting week and I can work the next five days to sort them out.
  • Slightly harder this week in terms of being in control, had a team lunch on Wednesday (lamb kofte skewers, a pitta & tzatsiki which I thought was a fairly good choice?), was running some training Thursday, so sandwich lunch provided & met a friend for supper at Prezzo yesterday (lovely king prawn & salmon risotto, plus some shared garlic bread to start & a single profiterolep & latte as pudding). Eek!!
Have kept the rest of the days fairly low though. Not been able to get to the gym since Tuesday as on-call with work which limits what I can do (and through till mon morning). Hopefully weigh-in next Tues will still show a loss, even if it's 1lb. Plus my sister over for weekend & asked if I want to go for tea & cake up the pier... Mothers Day roast tomorrow... Definitely one of those weeks.

Didn't really manage to see much of Comic Relief, but 24 hours dancing, wow. He must have been in agony by the end - and think of the calories burned!!! I am thinking I might join a belly-dancing group, I did a few sessions several years ago when my gym had it on their class list & despite my total lack of coordination, really enjoyed it but didn't realise how hard it worked the stomach & thigh muscles. It's the only "exercise class" that I smiled & enjoyed all the way through.

Rot, time to get up & moving, stuff to do and don't want to waste the day!!
    Have a good one :)

And of course I can't do that because of point allowances. Oh well 7 days is 7 days I will just have to get on with it.

Hiya Sqiggley, indeed there are "those" weeks to be honest I have always lost something but in February it only came to 5lbs for the whole month, as CWR says any weight loss is a wave goodbye and a figure you don't have to see again. Belly dancing sounds great, something to enjoy is always the answer.
  • Yep Toots, I think that's something I keep telling myself - anything is better than nothing (or putting it back on!) and will add up to a difference in the end. Meant to say to CWR glad you enjoyed wearing them too :)

  • Cheers ladies, yeah I felt quite good last night, a lot more confident than I've been for a long while, and a couple of people commented that I look younger than 50, so that's always nice to hear as well.

On the other hand, now I've totted up the points I am in the red!! Minus 5pp - I was doing fine until I got home and ate 3 crackers with cheese spread and pickle, 3 mini scotch eggs which still wouldn't have been too bad but then I ate about 100g of cashews and raisins which was 12pp

I need to tell myself just to drink some water and go to bed rather than eat to try and soak up the alcohol or just not get to that point in the first place!!

I know that feeling CWR three times I have gone to bed at 7.30 because I could have eaten the entire kitchen but once I am upstairs I am too lazy to go back down to the kitchen.

Off for dinner at the neighbours tonight, and I am cooking for Mothering Sunday. Not a great end to the week. I am cooking a leg of lamb, with a lot of vegetables, my Mum is bringing fruit pie, and bread and butter pudding made with brioche-there are only six of us at the lunch! Luckily one of my brothers will gladly take home left-overs.
